Maybe.... Just maybe, you can get away with telling folks that your "Custom Tailgate" is a new TOP SECRET aerodynamic design for HIGH SPEED OPERATIONS. :goodjob: Maybe...
Carry on.
Not really intending to hijack this thread (that I started in the first place), but....
Since the StartoLaunch isn't exactly a "military vehicle" I'm going to refrain from starting a dedicated thread for it. Yet at the same time, I thought it appropriate to share this article here...
When pushing a tree, make contact at the bumper mount point(s). Using the center of the bumper could merely make your bumper look like that tailgate.

It appears your key is conveniently clipped/tied right there next to the cut-off.
Doesn't the kind of defeat the whole "LOCK IT UP" premise of installing a security device?
Just askin'.
Carry on.
These pics show that AOA (Angle of Attack) a bit exaggerated due to the relatively low speed required for matching speeds with the tanker aircraft, but you get the idea. The axis of the cones is "tuned" to point "into the wind".
.
SAFETY NOTE:
It is extremely DANGEROUS to trust any hydraulic jack to hold up a vehicle without BLOCKING beneath the axle or structure to prevent THE LAW OF GRAVITY from crushing you.
This thread is dedicated to the ME-323. I had, until recently, never heard of this aircraft.
