remove the solenoid and smell where the plunger goes into it and if it smells burnt and I mean really burnt then that's your problem.... usually solenoids go bad from over use or low voltage...
mine was/is hard to read but with a bright flash light and side lighting it I could read the numbers mine had the marine corps numbers printed on the data tag that was painted on the trailer along with the serial from the maker of the trailer
my 2 primary pumps are the same size my aux pump is a different size as far as the wrench needed to remove the caps..... I ordered my pump screens from aircraft spruce...
sears parts direct ran about 65.00. All but one fuel injector gasket has arrived but I also was able to get the heat sink gaskets and the injector copper gaskets from the big auction site just incase sears fell through..
I did the basic recommendations from this site before even turning the key to start.. clean the fuel tank and lines,,, lube the ip.,, all new filters and oil...4 glow plugs,, replaced some fuel and oil lines and bought a air filter to see if my unit was good...now I am on to making it more...
no (but thank you) keep it for when SHTF I was able to get the piece out with a small magnet on safety wire that I dropped down into the cylinder thru the fuel hole and get the piece out... I will keep you in mind for when I need complete gasket kits and pistons and rings...
now you guys tell me after my home made dent puller with vise grips welded to the end with a 90 degree wrench gripped in the vise grip broke off and dropped into the cylinder!!!
installed my injectors and new gaskets last night and ran the unit unloaded for 45 mins today to get it up to temp and leak check my lines and new napa oil pressure switch.. my #1 and #3 and #2 and #4 are running the same temps and are about 20f different from the other... overall the unit...
