There will be at least a 5 to 8 vehicle convoy heading down Friday afternoon from the DFW area if anybody want's to join in. We will be traveling I35 to Waco, loop 340 around Waco, Then 6 all the way in to College Station. If your interested let me know. Exact departure times will be decided at...
That depends. If the weather and my back hold out I wouldn't be opposed to throwing an air mattress in the back of the deuce. However, I will also have to have a plan "B" if either one goes south on me. Plans are in progress to discuss options at the next few MVCC meetings.
M35M, That's a super nice rig. Do you have plans to paint? If so what scheme are you going for. Here's a pick of my rig after paint.
If you have the chance, check out the "Dallas, TX trail ride" thread on SS. It was the clubs first off road outing. We will be doing it again in the spring.
That's funny. I was thinking the exact same thing just last week. How do I install a small cheap'o window A/C unit in the bed, run a piece of conduit through the back window and not look like a total gypsy redneck while doing it.
I have 12v in the cab. would a power inverter be strong...

Be careful and never jump out of the cab on the drivers side...
I drive with my bed cover off and troop seats down as much as I can. It offers much more visibility on the road. What ever is on the seat beside you will be on the floorboard the first time you hit the breaks. Secure your gear. Whenever you park your deuce for more than a few hours always cover...
I found a neat trick that worked great. I used copper pipe insulation on all my poles and spreaders. It stretched the top the 1/2" or so it needed and quieted the wind and chatter noise considerably. Here's before / after picks.
I noticed the bed you have on it now. It looks like a bed off of an old WWII Chevy 1.5 ton or a Studebaker or something. If the bed isn't damaged or altered that bed could be rather valuable and highly sought after. I would consider doing some research and getting the word out. The sell of that...
The MVCC of Keller, TX had it's October meeting yesterday. We have a member that is finally home from overseas. He returned to the land of the big PX a few weeks ago and is now on terminal leave till his ETS date in January. We welcome him home with open arms as a fellow combat veteran and look...
