When you say on the box on the back left.. You mean the inverter box? The terminals on the top of that one? If you don't have 240v between L1 and L2 on that with the switch in the 240v setting that could be a problem with the inverter itself. Lets hope that isn't the case.

My thoughts on pressure washing anything is where the stuff you are loosening up is going to go. If you have a bunch of abrasive stuff down there I personally wouldn't want that in the alternator. If I were going to do that I would remove all the panels and seal up everything I wanted to protect.

I wonder if regular running of the machine plays a part in whether mice find refuge there. I run mine once a month and I've never found any sign of an invasion. Being on a trailer could also be a deterrent I guess. How long does something have to sit before the mice decide to move in?

I found a NIB ASK for my 003 and that quietened it down a LOT. Maybe not as much as the insulation you are using but it is much better than without it. Thats for sure!

I was looking for the fuel filter info and figured out that the fuel filter setup on the 831 is a Racor 120A with a R12T element. If you have a unit missing the main fuel filter you can see what you need in the attached brochure. Edit - This is an alternate for the WIX 33583 filter.
