Do they sell the covers there too? I have all the sides, gates, and bows, but I need a canvass cover.
On another story I'm looking for the right brake lever also. Do they have that kind of stuff or is it just the whole trailers?
Thanks. It should be better if I can find someone to paint it for a decent price. I got really lucky and bought mine from a guy that we had base camp for a fire set up on his property. I got it for 400 bucks. I have heard they go for upwards of a grand or so, depending on condition
CA DMV actually used the number on the data tag for registering mine. And they charge me $75 for a 5 year registration as a PTI, permanent trailer registration
I was thinking of doing something like that with my 101, but i think I'll just use the bows and the canvass cover. I dont think the 48 Power Wagon I'm gonna pull it with would like too much more weight.
That is a good job though. Looks like you can stand up in it??
I had problems at first loading my M101 pics, but I figured it out and all are loaded.
I agree I like this new format.
Now I gotta get my trailer painted, cuz everyone can see it!
My next question for someone who may know is:
Looking at the welded numbers on the tongue frame, is that a company id, or a trailer id, or what is that??
Ive been working on it just over a year. Since I'm a fire fighter in Calif, summer doesnt lend much time to work on it.
The only thing left is to strip the paint and put a new coat on it.
I have found one handle so far, its a right one. Does anyone have deltailed pictures of how these are mounted?? I am still looking for a left one, but I need to see how they are mounted to the front, then how the pivot arm is attached to the handle. By the way, this is a 52 M101, so they are the...
Well my M101 is done except for paint. I towed it to work the other day with the plan of getting it ready for the Hollister (CA) Power Wagon Rally. I planned to haul my motor, transmission, radiator and 5 new Denman NDTs back.
But I forgot to put cotter pins in the hinge pins. So of course one...
Well I got my wiring and bulb issues figured out, and short of a little body work, my 1952 M101 is just about done.
I had to run wires from the front turn signals and the third brake light on my '01 Dakota to get the rear lights to work properly, but they do. And I bought a pintle hitch and...
First of all, I was wondering what is considered an early M101 and a late 101. I have a 1952, so that would be....???
Second, I have a lead on brake handles for the trailer, but I've seen so many different kind. The lead I have is for the round style, kinda like in old micro lock truck brakes...
I am looking for someone that reproduces the data plates for an M101 trailer. I have the orignal one, but it has alot of holes drilled in it and calcium build up and I would like to replace it with a new one.
Does anyone know of anyone that reproduces the data plates??
Thanks
Nick
I am in need of shocks for my M101. Does anyone know what is comparable, or where I can get some NOS? Or better, does anyone know if they are the same as Power Wagon shocks? If they are, I can get those from Robert's Motor Parts or Vintage Power Wagons.
I have a 1952 M101. I am in need of some parts and have been searching high and low. I even asked on the Power Wagon Forum for another forum to help me. I was given this site. I hope it works out.
First: I am looking to replace the shocks. I have been to Pep Boys, Kragen and a few little places...
