Restoration of Model 32 w/sidecar WW2 AAF Flight Line untility vehicle
Just purchased a 1943 Model 32 Cushman scooter and bent up side car frame in pieces for restoration.
It will end up being a WW2 Army Air Force Flight Line utility, maintenance vehicle. Cushman supplied the model 32 with...
Anyone know where I can get the flywheel bolts washers and nuts for the M37, M43 230C.I. engine flywheel.
Also, can these bolts be removed and replaced from underneath the vehicle with only the inspection covers removed? I could find no reference in the manual.

I was traveling between 53 and 56 MPH for approximately 40-50 miles. I really came close to damaging something. 75% of the oil boiled out oif the transfer case and 50% out of the rear differential. Luckily I carried 2 gallons of gear oil and 2 gallions of motor oil and a complete tool box in the...
I want to thank all of you for your valuable advice. Fortunately I did not destry anything (I had the front hub locks off) but I left the rear wheel drive shaft up. The rear differential and xfet case lost half thier oil. I drained all and replaced with new fluid, including the transmission. I...

In the improved campsites the flaming donut would probably be frowned upon.
There are other local campgrounds with fire pits that can accommodate a pretty good sized fire, but I must amit that a flaming donut burning man type bonfire would probably result in a forest service, Cal Fire or local...
It is reccommended to use four wheel drive vehicles for the Coyote flats road. The road conditions have varied greatly in the last few years. A scouting party with a four wheel drive jeep would have to go out ahead of time and survey the raod conditions to determine if it is usable for the...
There are a lot of dirt roads that run from Bishop out into the open country. There is a dirt road that goes 50 miles from Bishop to Lone Pine. The only big dry lake is Owens Lake which can swallow vehicles because it has a crusty top with all all slushy mud underneath.
I have often taken off...
Bishop M V event
BISHOP CALIFORNIA EVENT FOR A CASUAL MILITARY VEHICLE
MEET OPEN TO ALL WHO WISH TO PARTICIPATE.
Author removed the majority of this this post as it served no purpose:
Anyone interested in suggesting a date for this event and the duration (weekend, fourdays, etc.)...
Thanks for being another interested party. Truman Meadows is 41.8 miles North of Bishop on Hwy 6 and is right on the border of the Calif. and Nevada state line. It is a pretty place. (See picture attached)
Thanks for your support!
I have gotten four pretty positive replies. The date and length of the event (weekend? 4 days? 3 days?) is open as of now but would be decided by general consensus of the interested parties (like you). I did not want to conflict with the schedule of folks who are...

May I extend my sincerest apologies to the SCMVCC club for posting the incorrect calendar of events. The one I posted was from http://scmvcc.0catch.com/
but should have been from http://www.scmvcc.com/id9.html as stated correctly by "quickfarms".
Calander of events from...
