Sounds good! But I strongly caution that you fill up WAY BEFORE you get into California because gas stations along the interstate will bend you ever here--- BIG TIME!2cents
Good luck and Godspeed!
Cool, can you tell us more like 50/50 exactly what? Pump plus bio? Is the bio homemade or store bought? I'd really like to know what works if I'm going to try this in my 1008.
REGARDING CUCV'S; I currently run B20 in my M1008 and have gone about 5000 miles so far with no problems. But some place I read that if you go with B100 it will cause havoc with IP and Lord knows what else.
So I'm wondering; Has anyone successfully run home made bio diesel in their CUCV? by...
Hey now! That looks pretty darn clean! Been dreamin' turbo for some time now and that pic makes a good impression. Any background info on that install?
Wish that pic was a bit larger, but from what I can see it looks like the cab-body of that vehicle is made pretty hefty. Maybe that's the whole key here; reinforce the existing cabs of older Deuces.2cents
BTW; what is MTVR?
Yes, it is tragic those girls lost their lives but seems obvious to me that no one ever taught them how seriously risky it is to type/text while driving a car. Maybe that's partly their parents fault and you can pass all the laws you want--- but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that...
I'm not a super-electrical fix-it guy but from your description it seems like you still have a big draw (short) on the starting system somewhere.
As far as fuse-able links go, I've had one burn on me and that is exactly what it looks like; a short section of wire with it's middle insulation...
Enjoying the thread, like the propane mounting too. Have you considered a few coats of urethane finish on the wood floor? You know, like boat spar finish? Couple of coats, sanding in between and a final, and the stuff lasts for years. Easy to clean, (water hose) and if it gets gnarly--- just...
Welcome Chris! Sounds like your plan would be feasible. One man you may want to contact here on the west coast would be Mark aka 100dollarman, he's got the goods and very knowledgeable fellow. Good luck to ya'!
BTW; have you looked into roll-on-roll-off carriers? Another fellow here on SS...
Again, I am not a design or structural engineer but would like to show a little about how heavy equipment type vehicles are put together. In MSPAINT program I did a rough-in of an ROP idea that is in my mind. Feel free to comment, revise, poo-poo, beat-up on, or otherwise shoot great big holes...
If it were me I would park that truck and go over it with a fine toohed comb. Many a potential catatrophe can be avoided by looking for the obvious. This knock could be something simple like a broken motor/trans mount or a loose air cleaner mount. But if you look at the many postings here on SS...
