For those of us on the Right Coast, Clark Truck Parts in the Mountain State have midnight-colored M35s too!
Look at the pics at the bottom of the page (can't copy the pic to the forum):

Would you want to try pairs of chocks chained/padlocked together on both fore and aft sides of a wheel (sort of like a Denver boot) to prevent them from being removed by wayward hooligans? probably unnecessarily complicated, but the best I can think of at the moment...
Renato,
What wonderful travels you've had and such a sturdy vehicle, too! I was a part-owner in a Trabant 601 while studying in Munich in 1991 and wouldn't care to go further than shopping at Kaufmarkt in it. Welcome to this forum!

Have a copy of your vehicle's Operators Manual with you for reference in case you need it. I expect an M1009 is close enough to civilian to not seem real strange. Picking up my deuce, I was happy to have something on which to to fall back.
I remember camping trips to Ft. Belvoir in Northern Virginia and being fascinated by the water buffalos they let us use. I never wound up anywhere near a deuce, though.

I'm beginning to wonder about the history of my truck. Monster Man's pics of his install showed no fender shelf, and I've got a shelf a foot wide inside the left-hand engine compartment door.
Maybe I need to start scraping the paint off of the frame rail...mine may NOT be a '71.
Here's a nice picture of a "medium" tow bar:

Over2land,
Welcome! I have a 1971 chassis whose data plate reads "Jeep Division of American Motors Corporation." I'm still not sure whether to call it a "Jeep" or "AMC," but love it all the same.
Deuce-B,
Someone has a picture on the forum of a standard trailer hitch that they applied to the rear of a deuce. I think it went up within the last month or so.
Thanks Bruce! I'm more interested in the info on the plate, as my truck was apparently "Frankensteined." The dash dataplate is for an M35A2, so the van body must have come from elsewhere.
Ok, the oil needs to be changed rather frequently. How about the filters? I'f I'm not running the engine often, is that an every 3,000 miles thing, then?
