i had the print out with pictures to do the doghead mod in my hand. first i pulled the battery cable then came in and printed the information i had on my computer for months and went back out and pulled the relay. but with the relay on my desk and the keys in my pocket and it still ran when i...
the starter does not crank it is stuck on. if i touch the battery wire to the battery it takes off like it was before i pulled the wire. the relay is on my desk and the keys are in my pocket. go figure.
would it stay ingauged if the bolt was loose. i have the relay on my desk and if i try to put the battery cables back it is still a runaway starter with out the relay.
so yesterday in the pouring rain after work, i turned the key to start my truck and it would not turn over but the dash lights lit up. tried to jump it nothing. then it turned over with no boost. but before it started the starter ran away. i pulled the battery cable before it fried (i think)...
i had to unwrap them and take them off the pallets to get them all in the truck with the cover on. if i had left the fuel drum like i planned it would have been easier.
attached drawing:
the left part is top view looking down and the right is looking from the passenger side. not to scale but...
what does a M35a2 loaded with 33 - 9.00x20tires on wheels and a empty fuel drum look like when you get home? made a trip to hooks and picked up 32 tires and already had a spare, spare, in the back. i forgot to take out my fuel drum. i don't think i could have put a route 44 sonic cup back...
a couple of months back someone was asking about loading a deuce and i did not have any pictures of my setup. i finally remembered to take a few picts. i have not used it this is how i came. i can add a 12 volt winch it pull and remove it when not needed. i am sure there are other setups...
from time to time you can get a good deal on the LED rear tail lights and LED front turn signals on there also. i have seen the tan tail lights for $25.00 each last year and black turn signals for $75.00 in the past few months (i bought 4).
i have one duece that the batteries had the same issue and now the batteries are dead and gone. :deadhorse: i am going to install new batteries in my M109a3 and move those batteries to the one without batteries. however i have benn researching the 24 volt priority start system. it shuts down...
it is a direct replacement, but, make sure you get the 24 volt stuff. 2 of my decues have LED Headlights, 2 have LED Front turn signals, all 3 have Rear LED Tailllights. my M109a3 has all the interior lights LED and the License Plate Light is LED. when i take the dash panel from the first page...
i am making one change to the dash. i am painting the back of the gauge panel rustolium glossy white and using a panel with an extra instrument light. the 3 in the middle will be for the gauge lights and the other 2 will be high beam and low air pressure.
i also have another upgrade planned...
Led as suspose to last 50+ times longer and are sealed units that are suspose to be water proof. the bulb ones can get rusty at the sockets if moisture gets in and hard bumps can kill the bulbs. i am going to all LED's on my trucks and trailers. But that is just me. also the LED's are...
