Another key when the parts dude is looking this up is that both the 08 and 09 are "J" VIN diesels. That would make a difference in the part they sell you.

The hardware store grade 8's probably are fine but the genuine GM ones have that crosshatched area on the bolt that must serve some purpose to keep the starter aligned or something..

Tractor Supply does have exchange deal at the store, you do have to pay for the "first" tank then from there you just pay for the gas. Good thing about that is that the TSC here is open till 5 Saturday and on Sunday too, helps avoid the painful wait until Monday AM to swap tanks.

I go to local Interstate Battery store and see what they have for "returns''. Our Interstate store sells new batteries that have been returned to the store with warranty for cheap. I just got two group 27's, brand new for $35 each plus core. Even cheaper than Wally World...

I removed the three Fram cans, fabbed an angle bracket and added a Wix 33123 with a WIX 24309 base. You will also need 1/2 to 1/4 NPT bushings to re-use the stock AN 90degree hose elbows with that base.
