    cucv Towbar tips

I may be getting a parts cucv m1009 and using a medium tow bar to move it 400 miles. I hae a few questions about it. It has no engine, so would that make it tow better or worse? Would I need to add weight to the back of a 98 1/2 ton suburban? Should I extend the tow bar legs? if so how...

    Trans Slipping in 3rd

Thanks for sharing your expertise guys. I checked the vaccum line and it has plenty of vaccum. It has normal power in 1st and 2nd and 3rd is the only gear it is slipping in. No shift kit, I went to the cheapest place in town  and got a rebuilt one and put it in myself. I was afraid...

*********************Correction on page 2*********************** My transmission is slipping in 3rd gear when it gets warm. It will drive normally for the first few miles then it will slip only in 3rd if I give it any throttle. It will also have a really soft shift from 1st to 2nd when it...

    Topless m1009s

Those seats are out of a 2007 mustang in the junkyard. I got a deal on them and made some brackets. Very comfortable. They also fold forward and are pretty adjustable, so it makes a good fit. I just put a tarp over the back when it rains.

Around here the cops like to follow you around and see if you are doing anything illegal. Plate light must be high on the list because I've been pulled over for it in 3 different vehicles. Maybe it's just my cohorts and I.

    Can you spin tire?

Mine can spin on gravel a little bit, but not a brake stand. It spins 33s in mud and wet grass. With a fresh trasmission it keeps up with traffic a little better. I want to know about the guys with the turbo, and or a 700r4.

    How are SF-97s currently moving?

I am still waiting on an sf97 or whatever GL will send. Approaching the 40 day estimate. My dad bought a truck last week from GSA.gov. Now The General Services Administration oversees a motor pool of over 200,000, and has a budget of around 16 billion. He paid no buyers premium, no extra sf97...

    humvee ???

I think the Marines sold a bunch in the 90s before AMGeneral got a deal where the government sells them all back to them to be refurbished or something. Not sure where all the others came from.
