For the record, ,y understanding is that running a 395 is not recommended on any deuce wheel. The way I understand it, a bead-lock make this practice MUCH safer.
No doubt HEMMET wheels are the best choice.
A3 Wheels DO NOT require tubes, and remove the potential danger of split ring wheels. However, last I checked bead-lock wheels are illegal to run on DOT highways. Double check that.
Let me know what kind of prices you find on A3 wheels, I am considering fallowing your footsteps during tax...
Mobile Auto, I cannot wait to see your truck in person. I love what your doing and someday I may need a second deuce to do the same thing to. No joke, much respect.
On the same idea as spraying water in the intake, you may consider rigging up a water injection system. These are usually...
As I understand the law, so long as you not driving commercially (Then they can pull you over and search anything they want) your rights work kinda like this:
If a container is locked, probable cause or not, an officer needs a warrant to search it. If you have a locking gas cap, and he wants...
So, can someone link me to a site explaining how it is ok for them to violate my 4th amendment right and search an enclosed container on my truck?
Im not by any means saying that they cant, I am saying I have never seen it, and I would like to understand how that's different than them...
Not to go terribly off topic, but you should check this thread: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce-modification-hot-rodding/73140-tire-size-mph.html
Noticed this was your first post, welcome to the forum!
To sinopsize the other thread, you can go with the super singles, a great rout...
Why thank you for the kind words! I figured that if I organized this into a somewhat polite and well written collection of my thoughts, I could quote myself and use it next time someone ask about hopping up their truck without searching.
Idk, I think just spamming, "USE THE SEARCH" is a...
Question for you Behr paint job rockers.
How has the paint held up to temperatures/fuels/oils?
The engine in my truck seems to be painted in CARC, would the Behr paint be able to be used in this application, or would the heat destroy it?
I would expect problems with the Behr on the fuel...
Alrght. I will spout back what I have read. My truck is stock, so this is only what I have read. When you add that new inspection port to your engine (You know, the one you didnt want) dont start going round saying "Well Loco said I could" I will simply laugh at you.
I know, your excited...
Although I do not forsee this happening to my truck in any kind of near future, due to costs, I am simply amazed by the workmanship.
And by your custom 6x6x6, that is something I would love to see in person!
Your first point makes me give up on LDS vs LDT and I am tempted to just unsubscribe from this thread. Im ready to assume that all our engines are a mix of the LDS and the LDT designs.
Their are many other experts on the forum that say our turbos are overkill for our engines. Either way...
