I can see why you asked, not easy to find in the TMs. Here is the PS Magazine confirmation.
Hint: You can search the PS Magazine articles, just type in the keyword and hit "enter" (not part of forum search).
Thanks Jason for the effort, great pictures!
What strikes me is the number of commercial items, plastic parts, labeling, color coding of wires and hoses, rocker switches on the dash....what kind of the light switch does it have?
I'm not much for reading long posts, so this may have been covered...If the batteries start out with unequal charges, they won't charge correctly when placed in series, so if you have several batts that are not charged, do them separately with a 12-volt charger.
Mark, it's the sudden increase that hurts, imagine your fuel price doubling within a couple of years....it's not unusual to spend $1,000/month on fuel here, that's more than most mortgage (house) payments. Wages can't keep up with it.
"The FMTV specs called for a maximum of 15 watts input at the driver's H-point..."
If this is a driver comfort specification, my guess is that it will make it possible to read a display of some sort while driving on a "bumpy" road. 4x4 obstacles hardly represent off-road driving...
Yes, the "F" is hot at all times.
The internal "fuse" is a 20 amp circuit breaker, which automatically resets after about a minute. Of course, if the overload condition remains, it will open again and again......
This statement needs specifics, what details or features makes the FMTV so futuristic, the specifications and performance listed in tables and TMs are no clues? To me they are loaded with compromises....
