    RECOVERY FROM HELL....

RE: RECOVERY FROM heck.... Sorry to hear about your troubles, but glad everyone is okay. As mentioned, it is important to have sufficient weight on the rear of the towing vehicle. I started a thread once about the limitations of using an M818 to tow other 5 tons, due to the same issue...

And now for something completely different...M123E2

RE: Re: And now for something completely different...M123E2 Aren't the two winches also used when unloading an inoperable tank from a trailer? One to pull it off and one to hold it?

Last Chance for M35A3 in Barstow

Since the default fee is almost $2000, maybe you could consider knocking another $1,000 off the price instead. That might be enough motivation for someone to jump on it. Just a thought, I am not interested either way.

    got the tires on

I think you should flip the wheels around in the rear to widen the stance more and give the tipper more stability. You might be asking for problems with the current setup.

    my new one

Nice score! Awesome price. I was watching that one like a hawk. If the trucking wasn't so high to get it home to me. Oh well, glad you got it.

RE: Re: RE: 5 Tons under a deuce Oh, I didn't know that size was such an issue for you.

    5 Tons under a deuce

You probably won't have enough horsepower to hurt the axles with the big tires. Search the forums for the threads by Jones on the Baby Hemtt. He has swapped in 5 ton axles under a deuce frame, with a HEMTT cab.

Need Some PLS wheels 11" center hole

How many are you looking for? The one pictured looks to be the old style trailer rim. IS that what you need?

M818 on a regular height 60" flatbed legally????

rofl Ouch, that might cause a little damage! I was thinking of a 18" or so drop. Aren't most military trucks rated for 24" vertical wall climb? Does that include a 24" wall descent too? The manual indicates the M818 to be 112". If your trailer is 54/60", you are looking at an overall height...

M818 on a regular height 60" flatbed legally????

Who needs ramps? These are military trucks afterall. Just drive off the dock and down on to the trailer. rofl

FMTV Wheels with Goodyear MVT Tires

Yeah, the 395s are shorter than 14.00s by about 2", but an inch or so wider. I have always thought the 395s would be a good choice on tractors. I think 16.00s look out of scale on a tractor and are better suited to longer wheelbase trucks.

RE: arb I hope you didn't pay more than $900. I have yet to see any pics or write-ups on any installed. Anxiously awaiting some feedback on them.

    m35a2 tow bar feet

If you got the "large" tow bar, don't plan on using it with your deuce. You need to get a "medium" instead.

    M819 in tow

Medium. The heavy is reserved for big trucks and armor.

    M345 10 ton Trailer

Awesome trailer! I missed out on buying one in Missouri that was on ebay last year. Nice, big trailer to have. Maybe you need a bigger truck now?

    armor tow "hooks"

Got any pics or specific vehicles in mind? I know there are a lot of shackles that take the larger 1.25/1.5" pin.
