O.K. I got my hitch today. It is pretty cold out there, but maybe this weekend I'll have time to look at how I'll do the install. I'll take some photos and measurements for all to see.

I purchased one of the harbor freight 1/2 ton pickup truck cranes to hoist my spare in and out of my bobbed deuce M105 bed. It fits perfectly behind the wheel well and does not use up any valuable bed space between the wheel wells.

For all of you waiting to see how my hitch turns out. I just received an email from the company i ordered the hitch from:
"I apologize for the delay in shipping your order.
I have been keeping an eye on your shipment while we are waiting for the hitch you ordered to arrive from the...

Yes, I can't bid on just one. It is a weakness I have:oops:.
I sold all of the trucks for less than $3,850 each. but I still have to settle on a price for the remaining truck. It will be substantially higher.
I currently have it insured and plated, so I might as well get some use out of...
Yep, I'm the one.
I have one M109A3 left from that last batch of trucks I got at the Grayling, MI auction. I had kept the nicest one to convert into a camper. I'm Now considering selling it as I have way too many projects already.
The hitch is going on my "Bobb truck" from the first batch I...
This one is the correct width for the deuce frame. I called Curt Mfg. and told them what I wanted.
This hitch is designed for the 34 inch channel frame width the same as an M35. I should only have to drill the holes and bolt it on. I hope.
I'll post with how it works out.

I found a new heavy duty Curt receiver hitch that should fit the deuce perfectly. I like the fact that it has some drop height so that I won't need a drop hitch adapter as tall as without it.
It is Curt part # 15605 and has a gross towing weight rating of 18,000lb, and a tongue weight rating...
Low power?? My old M51, 5 ton dump was a beast!! It had lots of power and the R6602 engine was perfect for the truck. The only problem was, I only got 2 mpg, so after several years I reluctantly sold it.
There was a more efficient Zenith carb replacement for the old Holley it had on it. And I...
I'm trying to get the "bobbed deuce" ready for this years trail ride. It won't be finished, but should be togethor enough to take on the trails.
I had better get to work.
Can't wait,
Bill
Mike, Did you ever find anyone to make up your data plate? I am also interested in having one made. maybe Rod shaver?
Maybe with a few of the weight numbers changed around though to reflect my truck.

Anyone ever look at getting data plates made for their XM381A2 ??
I wonder if Rod Shaver would be interested in working on a version of the data plate.

Hi, I have a friend who is restoring several M35a2 trucks and is looking for complete I.D./data plate sets.
We tried "Rod Shavers" MV data plates with no luck? He does not answer his phone??
Anyone have any other suppliers?
Thanks,
Bill

Sorry no winch trucks, But they are for sale.
They all have heat, Turbochargers (some wistlers), most have hardtops, all have air lock front axles. Most have canvas cargo covers with side racks. They have all been driven 140 miles so they are all runners with good brakes. Two are drop sides...
Dan, I just picked up a hardtop from a truck up north. This is a bit far for yoiu to drive though.
Also, I got my SF97 forms today. Now to get the titles.
