So it's raining today and I have a 1300 lunch appointment with other SS members so not getting a lot done. I did de-GL sticker the truck as well as scrap the tape residue off the driver's windshield (right in the line of sight of course). I also cleared the bumper numbers on the front of the...
That's kind of what I was thinking on the Transducer as the Parts TM shows it with a plug in it rather than the Transducer so will probably just cap it.
The plastic on the cab cover is broken in 3 places and pretty brittle so I think I'll need to replace the entire thing. I'll talk with you...
I'd appreciate the PM. These are delivery dated 2009 so would be at the end of their life cycle even if they hadn't been sitting for years but I'll try anything and could use a new charger anyway.
The part that is leaking is actually the fuel pressure transducer (just the top part with the...
Well I tend to start my refurbishment threads all the same so here goes for the M923A2.
GL listed the truck as a 2001 and it wasn't until after I had already purchased and insured it that I found out they only built them from 1988-1993. While it looks good it turns out they mis-labled it by 10...
I know this is an older thread but with so many 939 series trucks coming out now it might be useful again.
Anyone know of a year sequence for these trucks? I have one with a Delivery Date of 2001 but BMY stopped in 1993 so that's a little off. It doesn't appear to be a rebuild so I'm a little...
Said good-bye to the MKT today. It's gone to a good home - Lighthouse Charities - so that softens the blow some. I'm going to miss it just not the work :)
Don't open the pics first! Right click directly from the auction listing and it'll let you "save picture as" then just select the spot on your hard drive where you want to save it. If you open them first and try that it won't work.
It's not GL that's doing it, it's the gov't (see the 1st line I quoted). The gov't can come back at any time on an EUC item and say "give it back" and you either give it back or wind up with a lot more than just your GL dealings looked into (think Tea Party/IRS).
In all likelihood these will...
I paid $1500 for a parts truck. Granted it had a disc brake set up and some other things that I was looking for but it wasn't a gem. It all depends on what's there and what kind of shape it's in. Ever hear the question "How long is a piece of string?" You need more to go on than a model...
With no EUC you should be able to get it as soon as you have a Paid In Full receipt. Time frame the. Depends on whether you have to make an appointment to pick it up or not.
You generally have 10 business days to pick it up but some locations are flexible.
The question is like asking "how long is a piece of string?" Not enough information for a decent answer. As Warthog said, it's whatever someone is willing to pay and if they're happy with it at that point it's worth it.
From the looks of that the nut wouldn't have had to come all of the way off just loosen enough for the shaft to slide out of the key and start spinning freely. If that's the case should be an easy fix. If the shaft is actually damaged then that bad tranny might be worth buying after all for...
Okay I'm looking at the -24P to see if I can identify where there might be a nut loose (other than the operator - sorry but thought a little levity might ease the tension).
Can you tell if the selector cable housing is moving when the shifter is moved to a different position? I wouldn't think...
