Well my lack of memory came back to bite me in the behind today. Keith_J came out to help finalize the hookup when I "rediscovered" the fact that I had leaky brake lines that I had neglected to repair. We replaced both of the lines going across the axle and things seemed great until we lifted...
Well I got the last piece for the MWO in the mail today - the invertor platform. It didn't come with the hold down bar but that's something I can make out of flat aluminum stock easy enough. Since the trailer is buttoned up for the show this weekend and then I'm leaving it at a friend's place...
One that worked every time I tried it. Beyond that I have no idea.
Sorry you can't make it this weekend. I will have the deuce along with the MKT at Temple this year.
John,
Looks like you got a lot more serious cleaning yours than I did. I didn't move any of the cabinets but pressure washed it with them in place. Good luck with your event. I'm only cooking 3 meals this time out - Friday supper then breakfast Saturday and Sunday. The event provides food...
For those wondering about carrying capacity of the M105. This is from the TM (and of course per the military):
(1) Cargo Trailer Series M105A1, M105A2, and M105A2C. Carry a maximum payload of 3000 lb (1362 kg) either cross-country or highway.
Finishing up the Pre-Flight for Friday's drive to Camp Mabry and I noticed a pair of Carolina Wrens flitting about the back frame of the MKT. Upon closer inspection I discovered a well developed nest in the left/rear corner where the wiring plugs come together. I was just under there yesterday...
One of the things they towed was the MKT (Mobile Kitchen Trailer) which is about 5500lbs. I'll be pulling mine from San Antonio to Austin this weekend. They also towed water buffaloes, generator trailers, light sets and various other things. Cargo trailer wise I think the 105 was it.
EDIT...
Turns out the copper line did have a stress crack around the bottom of the flare at the end that connects to the filter. Keith_J and TexAndy were out and we got that pulled, flared a new piece of copper, reinstalled and then tested everything. No leaks! It also took care of the obligatory...
That's what I'm planning but a little late for this event. Besides, this was a brand new lantern that was still in the box when I got my trailer and I've never got the chance to use it. The globe was broken so I had to replace that but otherwise spanking new. I will say it's amazing how much...
Well the fitting is on so tight I can't even budge it but I apparently wiggled the line and caused an even bigger problem. It's now gushing out of where the line goes in to the fitting when I hit the power.
It appears mine is leaking at the fitting where the fuel line goes in to the top that the can screws in to. I think I'll just try tightening it and then keep checking it every day this week with the power on.
Gunboy,
Hope you got your housing issue fixed.
Maybe others can chime in on my issue. I just started PMCS on mine getting ready for a 75 mile trip next week and I've got a steady Class 3 leak from my Primary Filter (power on draining the filter). It appears to be coming from the fitting at...
