Buzz first I pressure washed it, and then used a 4 " wire wheel to any rust areas . This frame was like new after I pressure washed it . Then took a red scotch bright pad to the frame to rough it up , and as far a paint I applied 2 to 3 coats of black epoxy primer .
What the heck is a 8 track just kidding , I havent seen one of those in 30 plus years . You do have good taste of music I do like Jonny Cash . Pretty cool antenna, if you dont mine whats the price on the antenna .
bshupe It should only take a gallon of paint if you paint it all together, also depends what your spraying over. I use a Devilbiss high volume low-pressure (HVLP) spray gun . I have sprayed inside when cold , most of the time outdoors.
Started working on truck again . here are a few things I have done .
Added a Sony Explod CDX-GT700 HD Stereo
Front speaker a set of Polk db351 3 1/2" coaxial speakers .
Built rear speaker box . what fun that was .....
Added a set of Polk MM691 6x9 rear speakers .
And a Sound Ordnance...
There is a ground wire above your light switch and black out switches black wire that is connected to the cab. , I had a problem similar to what you have and it was the ground above the light switch on the .
Congrats on new truck and to SS. The black out switch is the switch that is spring centered, the other switch flip up or down and pull out your light switch .
I just want to say nice work . I know you have put a lot of time into this and it will come together soon for you . I was thinking of building a set of these with a step . I would like to see what it looks like with the step mounted to a truck .
