Has anybody purchased a Trilliant LED Work Lamp in 24V (manufacturer or distributor is Grote Industries), and given it a whirl. I've read it is as brilliant as sunlight without the 'arc' glare of an HID.
Reading all of this, all I can say is Mudguppy knows his stuff. I still like my multifuel, and for reasons associated with my job, I think I'll keep my multifuel. If cap and trade goes through we may all need to burn whatever.
That is a great piece of info. I was not so lucky. I was making oil and first bypassed the fdc, dumped the oil, then only to discover that it was the injector pump itself leaking. Had to have it rebuilt at a LARGE expense, but the silver lining to the cloud was they pop tested the injectors...
Does the inspection plate on the bellhousing use a gasket? I need to spray brake cleaner on my friction plate after a main oil seal leak. Don't want to risk it if a gasket, though, cause I have to leave in the a.m.
You need to check this out. Don't run it blind. This exact same thing happened to me and it turned out to be my injector pump was "making oil" and thinning out my engine oil, thereby losing oil pressure. Check your oil level asap. If it's way up on the dipstick, suspect a diesel leak into...
Well, for starters, the symptoms you describe say the truck sat for a lonnnnnng time. I can only answer toward the fuel filters issue. You can replace them using wix filters (can find doing a search on this site), or you could order some really neat spin ons from a fellow member aka "Jatonka"...
That sounds even simpler. This to me is what makes owning one of these great trucks so much fun. The innovation and what not you can do with the simplest (and cheapest) of things. I wanted to add that the guy that does the blue jean thing formerly used expensive filters, etc and a pump, but...
I still like my Deuce which I have about $3,500.00 in and it runs like a top; can't get in a hurry and the highway patrol salutes. And pour in filtered whatever. Isn't that what it's all about with these?
Well, this thread got me talking to some guys in south Texas, and I ran across some information whereby a man has a pole with hooks on it and he hangs, of all things, blue jeans that he recovers from flea markets and what not. Ties the legs off and then sets another pair of tied off jeans...
Check for an oil leak either from the tranny or the engine main seal. If engine oil, you could be making oil and it's leaking past the main seal, or tranny overfilled with another problem with the tranny. If neither, check your clutch adjustment again.
