That does look good. Wish I could see it in person. It have 4 gallons of 383 I picked up at the Louisville convention. It will be a while before I paint mine. Too much flaking paint to deal with.
Installed my new air pack I bought from Ted (197thhhc) at Real Custom Trucks. Truck has been sitting for 8 months waiting on me to get the brakes fixed. She stops great now, but just had to pop a tire, sitting in my yard, before I could get the brakes finished. Waiting on some tires to get here...
I know we should all read our TMs. I actually bought a hard copy of the Operator's Manual when I bought my truck. I have read through it multiple times, of course over a year ago. I guess my problem is, I am a PC Tech, and tend to find things online quicker than I can flip through a book (Never...
You funny Rayzer. I was more worried about what might be getting in there. I did think about removing the "other" plug, but, since I am new to MVs, I thought I would just ask the experts opinions before doing anything. I did have the thought that it was supposed to be open. Now I know!
Whew! Thanks for that. I thought it odd that there were 2 plugs side by side. Guess I could have filtered through the TMs and found it. Don't beat me up too bad guys.
Installed my new air pack today. Thought it would be a good time to inspect all the drive shaft bolts, when I noticed an open hole on the bottom of the bell housing. I'm assuming there should be a plug here? Where could I get one? What size is it?
Thanks! I guess it will stay then. It will be a good conversation piece anyway. I assumed it was something to do with the old non turbo exhaust, or maybe an antennae mount. Hmm, might be a hard top with gun ring in it's future. Love the avatar by the way.
It's not a big deal, but I would like to remove this ugly bracket to clean up the look of the passenger door. Anyone here done it? Any suggestions or problems encountered? I'm sure I will have to replace it with some flat stock, as the door is cut around it. Not really even sure what it is.
Seems like I can remember reading a post on here somewhere where one member was working in an oil field up north and his company is using an HET to recover stuck tankers. Couldn't find the article. Maybe someone on here knows what I'm talking about.
It was my first big show. Definitely wasn't disappointed. Even my 13 year old video game fanatic admitted enjoying the show. Also came back with a few needed parts, including 4 gallons of Rapco 383. I think the only thing missing on my list was the chance to see a M1070 HET up close.
Just got home from the convention. Got to meet a few of the Steel Soldiers. Hate that I missed meeting some of you. It was almost sensory overload when I first walked in. Plenty to look at. Even the wife picked out a couple she wanted. Here are a few pics, the ones that didn't come out blurry...
Yes. Thanks. I think you put a lot of us at ease. I thought it would just be me and my 10 year old coming. The wife has decided to come also, so the whole crew is coming! We decided to make a 2 day affair of it, so we'll be coming up Friday morning. I actually got a hotel room near by. Didn't...
