    Hello from Columbus, OH!

Hello Dan, Welcome to Steel Soldiers, from Marietta, Ga. If I were you I would keep the Mustang and save up or trade something for the M1009. Like others have said, a backup vehicle is good to have, and the M1009 is old, and some times things will be repairing or replacing, and if that is...

Just rolled out M35A3 in 383

Looks great. Nice paint job... Looking forward to getting my M1009 done in that color... Would also still like an A3 for myself. But honestly do not ever see being able to afford one. Unless I win the lottery, or find some kind soul willing to part with one that I could afford. Good night.

    New Seats for CUCV

re; New Seats for CUCV Hello 67_C-30, Does that mean if I find front seats from an 82-85 Camaro, I can pull them out, and they will bolt right into my 1009, with no modifications to "make it fit.."?

    New Seats for CUCV

Gimpy, Perhaps because of different years, and models (s-10 blazer, K5 blazer, C? blazer, etc..) One seat could not possibly fit them all. At least I would not think so.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

By the way, All I have done to mine is drive it back and forth to work, errands, etc. Without any issues, it starts, runs, and drives great. Unless it has been raining or really cold, then sometimes starting takes a little longer. But I am still knocking some issues off the to do list...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Jhyatt, Do you not keep track of the miles when you fill up, since your fuel gauge is malfunctioning? Mine is too, so I keep track of the numbers... And so far that works out pretty good. Good luck...

    New Seats for CUCV

Congratulations, looks good. Sounds like you did a good job being safe with the mold handling, tansport, cleanup, and coilor change. By the way, did the seats bolt right up to the original M1009 seat mounts, or did you have to make any mods to make it fit? I ask because I need to do some...

Hi guys... I guess I am old fashioned, I use the chain and padlock, when at home. And at home, I always park in full view of the 24/7 video cameras. (they can see at night too) and every sight and sound gets recorded, and I have seen the camera views both day and night, very high quality...

    New M1009 Owner

Hello BigRix, Thank you for the post and information. Is the flowtrol an absolute must? Also, from my previous painting experience, I know you can get texture from a roller, but that depends on the type of roller you get, some give you more texture than others. Personally I like texture, but...

    New M1009 Owner

BigRix, I like your vest idea for your seats, that was brilliant.. Also, the roller and a can of paint for the outside, looks great for a low budget job. Mind if I consider using them? By the way, what kind of Behr paint did you use? What was the paint code? Where did you get it? Also...

    Unknown Lights?

Hi, Looks like it would be cool to use as an interior dome light, or a night time driving light on the front end.. even for a CUCV maybe.
