They never really started replacing the LDT with LDS. The LDS wound up in deuces because some mechanics wanted a faster ride, or someone wasn't paying attention when they ordered a new engine for a deuce, or it was what was laying around at the time. The LDS is a multi designed for the M39...

the three 5 tons I've had experiance with had ATF in the power steering resevoir So that's what I use.

I have put LED bulbs in my M101 trailer, and wired in a flat 4 to the standard harness on the trailer. There is a plate on the driver side tongue, behind that is where the military plug wire connects to the trailer harness. Just tap into the wires there and add the flat 4, so you can connect either.
