Sounds good. Weaverville it is! Waffle House I'll call as it gets more close to our date but sounds like 3:00am or more like 3:30am . We are leaving waffle house here at 2:10 or so I hope we get on with it till we get over the Gap. Look for us around 3:30 instead of 3:00.
For myself and the 1008 this week ,rear shocks, TC rear output shaft seal, complete drain and refill of the case, driveshaft balance, new spicer U-joints, A piece of mind just knowing some of that is off the list of to do's.
The shocks were busted both of them, it really tightened up the ride.
Hey how's it going? Check out my avatar. I'll do what I can. Do you want elec. or mech.? What brand of gauges? What size do want? Illum.(lighted)? I spent a year on this but i planned and researched a lot of do and don't things and why.
Would Like some input on what can be used to install new seal in rear output of TC, with out damaged to new seal. I've put some in but limited on space this time. Any ideas would help?
How about a special tool one can buy, thats a large seal, output shaft in the middle can't get damaged either...
onegmjack,Yea we will have plenty of time. Where in NC is your friend? Will he be fueled and ready? I'll see you at Boones Creek exit Waffle House off I-26 at 2:00am, sound OK?
[FONT=Times New Roman][SIZE=3][COLOR=lemonchiffon]So, we can try Exit 116 at daybreak, Friday, April 6. Most Tennessee bladders can make an extra 10
Hello Again, Me and onegmjack will now be at the Macadee's at daybreak Exit 116, all others following this thread from our area, Western...
There is a lot you can check I only know a few, temp sensor on back of block(driver side), card of course, there is a way to check it as well, mine would be to look at glow plug sticky on top of site page. Otherwise I'm not much help. Check voltage at connector wire at GP itself with key on. Is...
I guess that will be up to you. I Did this in the Fall went just fine following the TM. I've got 3000 miles on new pump. Its fine no leaks, only used pipe sealant on the ones listed in TM. One thing I did notice , bolts (two right bottom on pump) did need brought back to torque. I was doing a...
Can you tell me about the fine shift points at the modulator on transmission, which is what I've not looked at yet but I'm going to try this tomorrow. I want my truck to stay in 1-2 longer for east Tn hills. I know of the Modulator but what takes place to adjust it one way or another?
Which way do move the vacuum valve to keep truck in lower gears for a more extended period? Leave it alone? Hills are terrible here. Just trying all I can to get longer shift pattern.
Did your new one(air filter) have the sock on it? I,m looking for the one that does since the TM shows it I don't have alot of power anyway in stock form but hay dust makes me want it(summer time hay making season) Thank in advance.
Which front shocks did you buy? I'm doing that this weekend. I liked the cheap ones on Gabriel's site, J.C. had 20% off this past Mon. so i did it, coil over spring type, there cheap but I,m trying it for 70.00 (set of 2). Just curious about your search? the reviews said to paint again because...
I ask that same question just a week or so ago. Horn relay is near ( not in) fuse panel (above) , it's connected like it should be but mine did not have a mounting bracket.
If you take it apart (the plug on bumper ) you'll find problem mine was that way also I scratched my chin for two days, I've done a lot of farm wagons, etc, so when I took it apart grounds were spliced together right at bottle neck of that pin plug, something to do with black outs. Bought me a...
I used correct size punch, hit straight in toward center of crank, you want to push it out using it's radius as an advantage, go slow with a planned strike with hammer, but yes I still had to be patient, it will mushroom on you, finally at the end I took a cold chisel (small one-3/16" or so...
Great pics, Can you tell me more about those braces? I'm not sure of the plate near motor mounts, is it there already? my 1008? Where can I find measurements? We can make if I have right dimensions, tow all the time need these bad. Its crazy they didn't put them in,(gov.) Anything you can do...
Thank You for looking out for us. Suzanne will thank you for the clean bathroom. I'll have 16' tandem with dirt-bike (son can't leave home without it) look out for us at daybreak we'll be in CAMO. Exit105 it is.
