lighting mounting
I agree and that is where they are right now but I thought that they would be better protected by placing them just inboard of the turn signals as the Wrecker-Only lights are mounted.
I have them centered on the outboard vertical bar of the grill and they look good but seem to...
I was wondering if anyone had a mounting bracket for a front light for the wrecker-only application used on the left front fender.
The reason if that I think that the IR or Fog light in the single armored case will fit in this bracket with some minor modification.
Has anyone done this?

venting issue
Also remember that the vent on the master cylinder needs to be free flowing air in both directions.
You can't install the vent for an axle or transmission in the master cylinder cap and have it work properly because the vent is supposed to be one-way valve (for the gearboxes and...
your truck ??
It looks like a '68 Kaiser-Jeep but double check the frame too.
There are two possible areas for the VIN on the left front frame area.
Just behind the steering gearbox and near the upper shock mount.
and the stamping should be about the center of the frame.
I highly...
door panel
Also a scribe with a 90 degree tip will work too.
Attached is a PDF format sketch of the clip.
When you get ready to reinstall the window riser handle, install the clip and push it onto the shaft and it will retain it.
Just make sure you have it at the anlge that you prefer before...
LA title / registration
It is the same process. If it is not registered yet, it will need a police check to verify the VIN or serial number.
If it is registered it will still need a police check.
The reason for this is because if you are trying to register it using the bumper number method...
towing your CUCV
If you are towing it, is not operating hence no insurance required, no license plate, etc., but it does need functioning lights in the back.
Any state will require lights that work plus it is just good sense and much safer too.
There is another post on this subject in the...
I even added a block to my shutoff due to the serations being somewhat worn.
I was in the guard unit one day and someone was moving a truck around in the yard and they happened to tap the rear of another deuce that was nearby to them.
Three conditions were met in order for this to happen and of...
West Coast??
I think that the West Cost mirrors ar the first two in my post here.
I have the smaller mirrors in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th pictures and want to get rid of them due to not having enough glass area for frequent backing up the drive.

Bulb numbers
The marker lights are the same bulb number for front and rear as are the turn signal / brake light bulbs.
The smaller bulb is a 623 and the larger bulb is a 1683.
These are "Industry Standard" numbers.
Attached is a one page PDF from Wagner.
If you were to go to an aviation...
data plate
You can get a new data plate and have it engraved or buy it from a certain data plate dealer here and he will stampt it for you AFTER you determine
which model it is.
You have a Field Raplaced data plate and they are crude at best.
Good Luck.

Export Letter
Meat is good for you! :-D
Perhaps someone else can snatch it off this thread.
It's o.k. to ask for help if you're not sure.
Always better to have too much paperwork when dealing with Uncle Sam rather than being short.
They love killing trees.

Export Letter
Here is a editable version in Word and a 2nd one in PDF in case someone does not have Word.
Just print it out,
Print your information very neatly or type it and then
send it off to them.
Must be signed and dated and I recommend dating the same as EUC.
Jim
your EUC submission
I have mentioned this before.
What I do is print it out and then sign in blue ink so they know that it is an original. I then mail it in with the other enlarged, color copies of my I.D, etc.
If you fax it, they can say for months and months that it was never received...
leather seat
That's actually pretty sexy but you will have to have the driver's seat match, you know.
Good looking seat and an "Acceptable color scheme" too!
Jim, again
leather on seats
Just make sure it is O.D. Green leather or you're out-a-here!
:-D

PS: It would last a very long time as long as you moisturize them once a year.
If you are standing next to the wheel looking at the face and the threads are pointing to your right and out with Out being towards the outer end of the stud, then they are left hand threads.
If you are looking at the face of the wheel and the threads are pointing out and to your left, then...
your new-to-you truck
This makes me REALLY jealous!
My truck won't go over 54 MPH with the 9:00 x 20 NDCC tires on it and I have the later overdrive tranny.
Side note: Your heater is hooked up incorrectly as several seem to be.
There are several posts on it and a PM Magazine article too...
Deuce volte meter in Yellow range
Last night on the way home from work (yes it was drive it to work day)
my volt meter went into the Yellow range just below but out of green range.
When I got home it was too dark and I was too tired to do much investigation.
Both belts were still on and tight...
air valve
There are also 90 degreee lever valve for gas and air available too.
Lowes may not have them but more than likely they do.
Another good source is a real old fashion hardware store.
They are not hard to find and they are 1/2 pipe thread so nothing special.
