My father in law and I are meeting Mark (mkcoen) there around 8AM and he's going to help us get it going for that long sloooow drive back to Houston.

Heading over to Ft Sam tomorrow to pick up my first deuce. Fingers crossed for no SNAFUs, TARFUs, or FUBARs!

I hope to get over there on Tuesday to see if it's roadworthy or not. Then I'll see where things go from there.

No CUCV, but I scored a nice m105a2. Wrong color, but that's easy to fix!

Way back in technical school my instructor showed us how the forward placement of the shock on one end of the axle and the rearward placement of the one on the other end helped control axle wrap - told us that "shock absorber" is a misnomer, it's actually an oscillation damper. Can't hurt!

So, is that how you're supposed to wash a deuce - take it to the nearest fire station and have the pumper hose it down? :lol:

Day 47 waiting for EUC to clear, hope to get my deuce out of Ft. Sam before Christmas! Ho, Ho, Ho!

I bought a couple of 9.00x20s at the north Houston location for $39 each in preparation for my upcoming (on hold!) recovery at Ft. Sam. Also got some good tubes for $5, no flaps though. Nice folks to deal with and they have 11.00x20s and the bigger super singles also. Deep tread and great...

You can velcro the Am/FM 8-track just about anywhere in there...sorry, couldn't resist!:lol:

My EUC from 4721 went to Battle Creek on 10/7. I guess that's the sale before 4737?
