    Difference in Grills

I believe tubular was first used with M809 series and then the flat style grill was later used. I heard something about water getting into the tubes and causing issues. I prefer the look of the tubular grills, though. To me, that is what makes a M809 look better than a M44 series.

    A new section...HEMTTs

Continuing with the logic in the current forum, I would suggest changing "5 ton and up" to just "5 ton" and then maybe add something like "10 ton and up" to include M123, M125, M911, M915-M920, LVS, HEMTT, PLS, etc. or maybe even "7 ton and up" to include the MVTR.

Mounting and assembly of Hummer Beadlocks

Re: RE: Re: RE: Mounting and assembly of Hummer Beadlocks I have purchased 36 of them and I am still waiting on volunteers to come over and put them in! I put a call into Hutchinson to see about buying one of their compression tools. That should make things easier (and safer).

Mounting and assembly of Hummer Beadlocks

Re: RE: Mounting and assembly of Hummer Beadlocks I think it would work just fine. By the way, does anyone have a source for the compression or ratchet tool used to compress the runflat? I need one that will handle the 20" runflats too.

    Beadlocks with 37" MTR's

RE: Beadlocks with 37" MTR I think you are going to need some trimming unless you get that lift on soon. I put 37s on a stock M1008 and it took some trimming and then some. There does seem to be some variance, due to the condition of the springs. Only 1 way to know for sure. Bolt them up...

M818 tractor loading advice needed for 2 trucks in Indiana.

I would go with option 4 and hire a local heavy wrecker to do the lifting (unless you have access to a M816 on site). I used my M816 to unload my M818, one end at a time. Option 3 might work if you had a flatbed trailer, but the drop deck might present a challenge. I don't know what the...
