The tranny pto on a five ton is a double . One for the winch on front, one facing rear for the pump and has a shaft to the pump. You cant mount the pump to the pto.
I agree about the steering. If you think its hard to steer now, with a plow hanging on the front of it, you will need the arms of a Goliath or Samson to steer it.
I have a five ton and a gas powered M211. Had started out with new fully charged batteries in both trucks. Both sit alot. They both will slowly draw down to dead if not started and run every couple days. I could'nt find the draw on them so I disconnected the cables each time. After that I put a...
Weight loss, the most difficult challenge. I am 6'2" and 300. It hurts. Stress at work combined with winter inactivity has me challenged. And the older you get the easier to gain. The more one weighs, the worse you feel and the joints suffer from it. The worse you feel the harder it is to...

I found the most difficult part was getting ALL the air out of the system after replacing the wheel cylinders. The M211 has 2 on each wheel! I have to do more on it. Now the five ton has 2 bad wheel cylinders leaking fluid. If you take it apart for that reason you would be smart to do them all...
Yes the pto is rare as hens teeth. They are around but you have to search possibly a tanker or M215 if you are lucky to find one. I have a pump off a five ton that would probalbly work. The M215 and the 5 tonners were simular underneath, the bodies are different. And abt the camo scheme, I dont...
