It's up in the storage barn. I'll be Patrick AFB all next week. Won't be able to work on any of my toys. GA rally is right around the corner. A lot to get done before the road trip starts.
I installed two new batteries and turn the key to on....looks good so far.
Turn the key to start....it started right up and I shut it right off because it was drained of fluids.
So, it is looking good right now. :-D
I'm south of Jacksonville, FL now. Stopping at flying-j to get fuel and take a break. 273 miles to go. I might drive a little more and stop for the night.
This thing is real dirty,
Yes, it has a key:-D.
This thing has 3 batteries, two under the hood and one under the pass door next to the frame. Has a lift kit also.
B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck, #1000R . Got it for $414.00 with free shipping to the house.
Stopping for the night, I'm about 1 hour out from Adams place. I-26, at rest area around mile marker 150 I think.
I did an engine pickup in Apopka, FL for Mr. Hill(his truck is at Adams place). Heading to Hopkins, SC to unload the engine and load my LSSV. Should be at Adams home Sat morning.

I pulled the number 8 cylinder intake valve and it sound and felt better going back and forth in the number 2 intake seat. Still looks like a low spot. I did it twice with the same out-come.
I just put the valve in my drill and the valve looks to have a slight wobble to it.
Kenny, I have a GEP engine(had three glow plugs with broken off tips) that I could use for parts.
i'll pull another valve from the same head and see what happen's...after dinner....
Kenny, I used a red marker and did what you said to do. The red marker stayed in part of the valve seat( close to the exhaust valve) did it first with a black marker and it did the same thing.
I pulled the head off tonight, I didn't have compression on the number 2 cylinder, it was popping back through the intake so I removed the intake valve to see what I could find. Looks like it wasn't seating from what I can see in the pictures.
I pulled the engine today, going to see why it's popping back through the intake on the number two cylinder. I will be pulling the head off to see what it could be.
