Try this.. loosen a fuel injector line at one of the injectors, turn the engine over and see if there is fuel coming out of the injector line. If not....it could be the PMD not working and telling the injector pump not to send fuel to the injectors.
Or did you fill-up with GAS...lol
It has happen to me a few times.
Here is a list of things to check.
1. Replaced battery terminal cable bolts and clean the battery cables(bad connection of battery cable to battery). This happen on two of my CUCV-II's
2. If I didn't start the truck in 5 days and left the military light switch in...
Google "Optimizer 6500"
I bought one of these "New and Improved" 6.5L turbo engine's from GEP (General Engine Products) and dropped it into my 1999 CUCV-II a few years ago. Engine cost me just under $5K and I did all the work. They wanted $400 more for the P400, but needed to have a custom oil...
??? for you:
I take it you have a HMMWV 24 volt injector pump on the 6.5L..are you swapping out the top cap on the pump with your old CUCV 12 volt injector pump ?
Check your water pump rotation, you may have to change the water pump and timing cover.
I see your engine is a rebuild....did you...
I'm 90% sure it not a head gasket leak from his first pictures and saying the rear block-off plates is were the fluid was leaking. All he has to do is remove the two bolts on each plate, clean off the old gasket(red RTV) and install new gaskets with a little RTV and let it sit overnight. That...
I thought I had a blown head gasket on my M1028, but turned out it was leaking coolant from that same little mounting plate. If I was you, I would pull that plate off, look at it real close. If all is good, I would re-gasket it and install it back on. Doing a head gasket is a "pain in the back"...
I started putting everything back together today. I had a new GM8 turbo on the self, so I went ahead and installed it. Just have to move the turbo-master over to the new turbo. I hope to be dropping the engine back in this coming weekend.
forget...going to replace the rear main and front main...
Old block should be 3/8" NPT (Male Pipe Thread) "I think" and the newer blocks are 1/2" NPT. I would take your old fittings and hoses to a Hydraulic store and have them made up like I did on my Dually. Cost me around $75.00. Or buy the kit like I did on my two CUCV-II's...
Just won me a new set of CK8, 2005 Chevy Silverado Service Manuals off e*ay for $194.00 shipped.:D
I've been looking for long time and the 2005's were in the $325 to $600 range.
I'm missing the mounting brackets behind the rear seats for the MAX AXE 7-1 Multi Purpose Tool Kit(Pioneer tool) I have the tool kit so I might have to just add some straps for now.
Thanks....After I fill the Rad with water, I will fill the transmission with fluid and hook the drive shafts back up. I will see if it will move. I still have it up on the trailer for now.
I was missing 10 fuse's, so now all the lights/radio works. I still need to see why the blower fan did not...
I still need some parts to mount the fuel tank(missing the filler pipe that mounts to the inside of the bed), so I made a small fuel tank out of a 5 qt oil jug. opened the bleeder screw on the fuel filter and primed until all the air was gone. see video.:jumpin...
