    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

TyJustice, Thank you for the message.. But I am not preoccupied with exceeding my M1009's weight limits, I do NOT want to do that at all.. But hndrsonjr said towing a M101 would exceed the M1009's limits, according to the TM's.. But you are telling me that the M1009 CAN handle towing...

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

Hello combst32, Thank you for the tip. Perhaps I will look into trading my M1009 in, for one of those then. Because now I have a need in the near future to be able to tow. And it does not sound like the M1009 can handle it, without exceeding weight limits. Good night, CJ

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

Hi guys, Well in that case.. Since the M1009 seems like it is not capable of towing a trailer, without exceeding its weight limits, Which CUCV would I need to buy/drive to tow the M101 series of trailers, without exceeding any weight limits? Then perhaps I will get rid of my M1009, and get...

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

Hi Guys, Well considering the weight limits on the M1009, when it comes to towing. I will err on the side of caution, and stick with looking for an M416. I do not wish to tear apart my M1009 by towing an M101.. Thanks for the advice.. I just do not want to run the risk. I will keep my...

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

hndrson, Thanks for the reply and the weight ratings.. But that still does not answer my question. How is it that some guys here with M1009's can tow a M101 with no problems? and also recommend it as a great trailer for the M1009, if it cannot handle the weight. Thanks CJ

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

Hi Guys, As hndrsonj says, if the max weight towed behind the blazer is 1200lbs, and the M101 is 1340 lbs. Then how can you guys with M1009's tow M101's without ripping your pintles off, or causing damage to the drivetrain, suspension, etc..?? Also, I went to this website, and it said...

    M416 cargo trailer for M1009

Hi.. But M101's are heavier, so you will not be able to load as much onto the trailer. Also, I remember reading that the M416 is supposed to be the trailer for the M1009. Good day, CJ

    Should I?

Lagers, Take it to a reputable diesel mechanic/shop in your area. Tell them where you are going, and have them inspect it from top to bottom, inside & out. And if they find any issues that would endanger your journey, then have them repaired, before you leave, so your M1009 and you can get...

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

Sharecropper, Looks great, nice truck, you did a great job. Wish I could do that, maybe someday. When I have the means, and everything else it takes to restore trucks like these. All I can do now is repair when something breaks, and replace before other things break. Good day, CJ
