I replaced the Hydro boost in my uncle's truck with a take out from a cucv I stripped for parts.. Not even two months later and it's leaking..
Can you tear one of these down yourself and rebuild it? didnt find any rebuild kits yet thought i would ask thanks
ALFA2 is right not safe my friend..its failing.. rebuilt one is about 120 and the mc is 30.. not to bad.. takes a while to get in.. i drove 4 hours to get my friend with my truck rather be safe then sorry..
a friend is using my truck today. He says the Hydro boost is leaking power steering fluid. He's about two hours from Jersey. safe to drive should I get ready to go get him?
thought I should ask. however I'm thinking the best thing I can do is go pick him up.. As always thanks for the help
I know not to buy a carter pump. the pump is an air teck. Never heard of him but mechanic friend said they are pretty good. I was going to use our rtv for the plate. I have a gasket they came to pump thanks for the tips
this would be my first one on any truck.. getting the pump and gasket now. some rtv to for the plate.. thought i would ask.. shes finally up and running time wot work on some of the other things thanks
My front springs, bushings and shocks are shot. I was thinking about throwing on four-inch lift springs shackle flip in the rear.
Where would like to know. Obviously the truck will be a bit taller. I have 36 inch tires on it now for more road speed. I don't think the lift would affect it much...
runs great. Still having a few wiring problems. Every time I had some good bumps in the road. A 20 amp fuse blows. I lose the running lights. Turn signals headlights break lights still work. Just no running lights.. Not too sure how to tackle this...
redid all the ground.. forgot about the front one where you need to remove the grill and the one by the gas tank.. checked the ones i did put some electric grease down to stop corrosion.. then old welding cable from a intake bolt to the cab.. must have been pretty bad.. cranks over faster...
finally done.. went over everything from front to back.. light seem to be brighter and its seems to crank over better.. shes running right now.. next to do is the fuel pump and the king pins.. thanks for they help guys
