Good deal on the easy fix. Be careful pressurizing the tank. The engine will draw from the tank w/ no problem if the check valve is freed up. Make sure you get it freed up.
Mitch,
It is acceptable to remove the tire/wheel assembly inflated. They roll better inflated. Nothing wrong w/ dropping the press to 20/30 psi either.
As for re-using your existing seals, that's your call. Any evidence of leaks now? Do you know the service history of the truck? Are you...
Yep, -10 Operators manual, WP0016-8 Front winch ops: step 6: place transmission in 1-5 (drive) pull winch (transmission) pto lever to engage. return transmission to neutral.
M936 has an automatic transmission, no clutch. Double check the operators TM instructions, sound like you have blended the procedures. Make sure the winch lock is "out", winch lever "out". Let me do a little reading.
The M35A3 is not equiped with a fuel pump in the tank. However your symptoms indicated the in line check valve at the
top of tank is sticking closed. Pull the fuel line at the top of the tank and get the check valve out and clean it up. Pretty common for A3s that sit for a while. Report back.
Gimp, Grove manufactures the crane, the early M977 crane was considered light duty, later models were equipped with Hiab 8108/2 materials handling crane, they are pretty stout.

Welcome and congrats from Kentucky. M925 is a very handy piece of equipment. Read the operator's manual (TM). Lots of moving parts on that truck.
-and of course, we need a picture or it doesn't exist......
Yes, you can use a larger tank. It will need to be vented also. Make sure the tank is securely plumbed to the H45 fuel meter (no leaks) and kept at a distance. That heater will get hot.
The Marines are like the honey badger, they don't give a sh@*. They sold their equipment directly to GP with no restrictions. The rest of the branches of the Armed Forces route their excess equipment through DLA services, DLA sells their HVs with restrictions. It's a matter of economics...
Subsribed.. I have Brad's A3 w/w parked on the other farm, I can crawl under it and get a picture of the trans/PTO configuration. Give me a day or so .
