The main thing I am hearing on the 6.2 and 6.5's are the harmonic balancers. I have a 94 6.5 turbo that broke the crank at 270,000. I didn't know about the harmonic balancer then, but thanks to this site I now do. I plan to have mine checked shortly as I am nearing 75,000.
I try to keep mine around 55 but ocassioanly I am on 65 or 70 before I know it as it just seems to run better and better as i get up to or over 55. I almost think mine would run the 85 or more but am not going to risk it. I talked to a guy today that had a crank break at about 60,000 and mine...
