Good deal. Thank you for the extra set of eyes. The more the merrier! I will grab some detailed shots this evening when I get home I appreciate the help. This is my first go round with with a diesel generator. I think I have about worried CSM Davis to death.

I made a little progress today. It's nice putting things back together rather than pulling it apart.
I pulled all the fuel lines and blew them out with compressed air. I dropped the cleaned tank back on the skid. As I cleaned the fuel lines I reinstalled them and got all of the fittings back...
The hanks for the Intel Guyfang. I pulled the check valve today and it's soaking as we speak. I had planned to hit the first tank of fuel with some biocide just in case there is something left growing, as well as some good old 2 stroke oil to lube the pump. Going to also pump some marvels...
Next on the agenda will be to finish up all of the filters and oil change.
Once it's close to ready to run I am going to break into the the wiring. Just the cursory check on the outside and in the head everything looks really good. I will see what it looks like as I dig deeper.
I am going to...
Next on the agenda is filters! Man this thing has a bunch of them! I am thankful for all of them because of the PO feeling the need to crank it after sitting for so long. I pulled all of the fuel filters and separator. After looking at the options out there I decided to cobble together my own...
We live out in the sticks and our power is sketchy on a good day. Hurricane season can make things even more interesting than usual. For the last year or so I have been half way looking for an mep-003 thanks to @Csm Davis. He gave me the run down of how they work one day on his ponderosa of...
I am pretty sure the the motor and solenoids are 12volt only on a 12 volt warn. I suppose it would work for a while but I don't think it would last long getting twice the voltage it was rated for.

Because of the aluminum body there isn't a way to get a good ground. From the factory the grounding network was adequate but over time corrosion and in some cases electrolysis have caused a loss of ground that is really tough on the glow plug controller as well as other parts of the charging...
I finally slowed down and did some wiring for my electronic gadgets. I got my backup camera installed as well as my CB. I also mounted my ram mount for my phone or tablet and ran the wire to plug it into the amp and charge the phone /tablet.
My radio rack was pretty sad looking so I put a coat...
I don't think I posted this here but I had the cab and bed sprayed with lizard skin. 2 gallons of sound deadener over two gallons of the heat barrier. All I can say is man what a difference. It quietened the interior down to almost normal levels. I highly recommend this if you plan on driving...
I am not sure about a manual fuel pump but the mechanical pump that supplies the motor is located in the side of the block.

Like the title says. Has anyone put the factory H1 rocker protection on a HMMWV? I am looking for better protection for the rockers and a little added strength for a side impact.
I am looking for info on how well they went on and if there are any fitment issues in particular.

This is very true. It's a running joke but you actually have to attend a class in order to properly sleep on a shell location. They had a fatality due to carbon monoxide poisoning so they had to develope a SOP for sleeping in a vehicle.

I hate to admit it but I have done the same in my 1/2 ton truck. We idle our trucks a lot in the oilfield to have a cool or warm place on location and you get in the habit of not turning them off.
I hooked up to a trailer and got a phone call. I finished up the trailer and walked in the house...
