Hi All,
I'm going to be pulling a 14,000 capacity 2 axle trailer with gravel in it about 10 miles. Wanted to see how much weight others have pulled a short distance like this. We're in Central Indiana so won't be going over any hills at all. Don't plan on having it full by any means just looking...
Actually I have not changed it but now am planning to as soon as spring hits. When I bought it they replaced the gasket so it was replaced then. I'll keep it in 2 wheel drive unless we get 3 or more inches of snow. If I go in 4 wheel I'll be going under 30 MPH. The new BF Goodrich All Terran...
Hi again. Wanted to give an update then ask another question. Because of the weather in the Indy area I hired someone to replace the right hub. He did and it works well now. But here's my problem now. Right after he replaced it I drove in some snow in 4 WD High and didn't go more than about 45...
Thanks all. Just ordered this and a conversion kit in case i need it? Will be putting it on this Sunday.

cucvrus Thanks for the link. Since the passenger side axle was turning when I had the hub locked in when I turned the front drive shaft is there a chance its not bad or does it just need replaced? And if if I replace one side should I replace both at the same time?
I haven't taken it apart yet but was planning on having the parts in hand in case it needs replaced. Is there a difference between the K5 Blazer part and a normal blazer? I assume there is? I tried NAPA and LMC Truck Parts and they don't have the front hub. Any idea where I might find the parts...
Looks pretty simple? OK I'm sure it's not going to be quite as simple as it seems
Remove 6 screwsSnapring (3)but may be installed if desired.(1) and locking hubcap unit (2).NOTEmay not be on truck. Snapring is not necessary for operation,2. Remove “O“ ring seal (4) andIockring (5). Remove...
Hi All, OK with the transmission in 2 H I locked both front hubs in. I then turned the front driveshaft. The passenger side hub by the wheel turned a lot when I turned the driveshaft. The drivers side started to turn but barley moved. So I assume that's telling me there is a problem with the...
Hi when they locked in I felt a click so I assume they are locked in? Yes I looked under and can see nothing is missing. snowtrac nome didn't understand how to test. Can you explain a little more please?
Thanks
Hi all,
Hoping for some advise from some experts on here. I have not used the 4 wheel drive in over a year. Last time it worked fine but now when I locked the front hubs in they lock in OK but the front tires are definitely not working. I got into a wet area and the back tires were spinning but...
Thanks. When you say solid at the rib points in the roof you mean this marked area right? I'm thinking about mounting my spare tire up there for now?
Thanks and Merry Christmas to you also!!
Hi All, I'm looking to purchase this on Amazon, ARKSEN 64" Universal Black Roof Rack Cargo with Extension Car Top Luggage Holder Carrier Basket SUV, but am looking for suggestions to mount it. My thought is to use stainless steel you bolts and some aluminum 1/8" thick 1 " wide bars inside the...
Hi this is my second winter with my M1009 in Indianapolis. Last winter I drove it everyday so I used the block heater daily. Now I might only be driving it once or twice a month. Just wondered what others thought about not running the block heater unless I know I'm going to drive it the next...
I've had my M1009 for a year now. No starting problems even in the dead of winter in Indiana. I'm sure Block heater helps that.
Here's my question. I've read you should replace the fuel filter every 2 years. Not sure when it was replaced last but have been told the Doc that had it in Lafayette...
The leak is at the back of the truck. With the metal plate on it's hard to tell exactly. My first thought is to get the metal plate off and see what I can see.
Thanks for all the replies too.
