    Deuce to Tractor conversion?

A 5 Ton tractor would be much more appropriate. A Deuce will be tiediously slow!

    M101A parts

It would probably be easier & cheaper, in the long run, to just get another trailer. Your location may be somewhat secluded, as far as the trailers go, but they are around and it might be cheaper just to watch the GL sales or surplus sites, and to drive a few hundred miles.

    mep 002a kicking my butt

Great find! So any clues or guesses, as to how or why the terminals should have become "unbridged"? You got the unit this way? How many hours on it?

    mep-002ASK ariflow issue

Yeah, two MEP 002A's just sold at Ft.Wainright for $900 each (without the ASK). They had something like 10 hours on them. I got one.

Load test of two MEP-002As, diff results...

No, not even close, with those hours. Lke above, if she doesn't clean up, set timing and adjust valves. Did you download the manuals? Find Spedman's post.... they are all under his name, and couldn't be easier to access. On your load test, if your heat element gets too hot, run hose in...

Load test of two MEP-002As, diff results...

How long did you run it at the 6 kw load? I would run it for at least 3 or 4 hours like that (under load), before I made any assumptions about its potential. Give it a while to burn the cobs out - sounds like it was never worked much under load. I suspect that others will agree on this...

    M116 and FJ Cruiser

The A2 with its brakes, even with the rated .75 ton, pulled with an FJ, is a dream to pull! Pulling trailers without brakes is stone age nonsense. Sure, you can get by with out the brakes, right up till you get to the emergency stop!

    Found 1951 M37....

Congratulations! Your going to fit right in here. Keep us posted. Several things really looked good to me, about your "find". Little things.... like the gas tank had the cap still on it.... Etc

    Found 1951 M37....

Super find! Well worth the prices suggested above, I think. For instance, (it would be a shame to) but its well worth much more, if you part it out. Not suggesting that, mind you, but that wiii give you some idea of its value. Just price a Pioneer Rack. Spare tires are easy. Vintage Power...

    winch cable experts?

Hard to tell what you have. Its supposed to be 6x19 by 1/2". It, amoungst other things, has considerable abraison resistance.

    M37 seat alternative choices?

Not sure the junk yard it the place to look. My first thought is a replacement seat for a Bobcat skid steer loader. Those seats are always wearing out, and built to be replaced, don't take up much room, and mounton something lik your storage box. They are built for support too. Backhoes are...

Speedometer Jumping Around at 40 MPH Only

Its usually always the cable. Before you replace anything, disconnect one end or the other, and pull the inside cable out. Clean it with Break Clean & a rag/paper towels. Re-insert it and as you slide it back in, re-grease it with a good light weight grease. Note: sometimes you can only...

    Deuce driver with gonads

Yeah, that scooter sorta limits the size of the tool kit, that I would like to have onboard, for just a regular 1300 mile trip. Well you checked her out Emmett, so with that in mind, I have to line up with 70Deuces thinking. He can make it now!

    m101 trailer questions

Also, check the master cylinder for break fluid. It takes ONLY DOT 5 (Silicone brake fluid). I use mine for camping, all the time. The picture shows a plywood shelf. I store other stuff under the shelf, like bed roll, etc, under it. Siide it in from the front. Its easiest to open the front...

    Winch newbie.

Which truck is it? Generally the 1st answer is yes, but use the lowest gears. Turning the wheels too, will help break the suction of the mud/whatever. Use extreme care though. You are using lots of power, and its real easy to break something. Get the winch line tight first. Always keep...

Thanks - I try to make the stuff safe, and usable at the same time.

How have you civilized your MEP Generators?

If power goes down here, it will be in the most extreme conditions. Even though I store the unit inside, its an unheated building. In the event that one will need the MEP, it will be the worst case...... -60F. Then when word gets out that there is mobile power, I'll have friends that I...

Any one had a problem like this on a M936A1

There are also relay, and quick release valves in the brake system. If one onf thoes stick open, a perfeactly functioning air system, cannot keep up with the leak it creates. Its even hard to find it. You can crawl under the truck and look, listen, and feel for what might be a leaky air...

    M37 M Series Signal Stat 600 - Need Help

Welcome to the site. Nice work! Not really sure of the problem, but are you checking the unit with a load on it, ie. lights? Some of the flashers won't work, unless there is an amp load on them, like the new LED lights are not enough load to make the flashers work. They have come out with...
