I asked the owner and he said 750 I know i can get it cheaper, but I don't want to kill the guy, because he is selling me the camper parts for a great price!
I went to one of my local junk yards today to drop off the concrete that I removed from the front sidewalk, I noticed they had some old campers, since I'm in need of some camper parts I took a look around and came across what I believe is an old M105. It has the bows and tarp, but the aft 2...
Is that a turbo or non turbo engine? I have a 84' M923 that is non turbo and have been seriously thinking about adding a turbo. The main reason is to add horsepower for any kind of incline. My truck is done at 55. I would like to go at least 60. Any thoughts?
Blazer; I would like to say that everyone here is your friend. Everyone may not like you as much as others, but when it counts there's not a person on here that won't help you out. I had a very bad day not to long ago, and basically made an entire ass of myself to the entire community. The next...
On my M 923 84' model, The window track itself has a fiber mesh kind'of stuff in it that has completely worn out. That is were my window has major problems moving in any kind'of straight direction. Replacing it seems like a major ***** but I will have to get to it at some point!
Blazer, Just wondering how things are going with your purchase. I hope that you have thought about things and contacted your Gma directly and asked her, her thoughts on your purchase. If you had "politely" asked all your neighbors their thoughts about you purchasing a collectible vehicle? Let us...
Looks exactly how mine did. I just hope since I completely dissected the cooling system it won't look like that in October when I plan on replacing the coolant again!
I think the best thing you could do is to call your Grandmother that is being very nice of her to let you live in her house and speak with her about you purchasing an MV and parking it there. Next if that doesn't work then you need to fend for yourself and rent/buy a home of your own. I will...
I completely agree with you. However most places that a person would purchase a MV from, your lucky to get 10!
I would also like to add, check the torque rods. Theres actually a pretty informative video on youtube for checking them. Also A person wanting to buy a 5 ton should also to a brake...
I almost forgot the most important thing. I know from experience. Check with your city, village ,or HOA if your even allowed to park the truck on your property.
I have noticed for some time that there has been people asking about this and that about purchasing a 5 ton. I thought that a check list for newbies would be a great place for them to find out about questions to ask, things to check, and just general info on any 5 ton. I once was a newbie also...
The only thing I can tell you is that a truck without turbo (like mine) is very slow, exceptionally slow up any kind of grade without 2 mile run at it.But I do like the NHC 250 motor. It does produce everything that I want out of it. Although I must mention, I bought a MV not a muscle car so...
Well this is what I came up with. I'm pretty sure it's a long term "cheap" solution. I have a total of $9 bucks in it right now, but that will go over $40 when I buy the replacement solenoid for the air horn. I also would like to get a back up in case this one fails. I just couldn't help my self...
Thanks Gents. I'm not sure why I didn't say this earlier, but if you look at the picture of the actuator you can see a tiny drop of coolant coming out of the pin hole. I also noticed that when the truck was cooling down, coolant would blow out of that hole with air! It also appeared that coolant...
Well I was feeling good about Bigboy. So I drove him to work this past Friday night and everything seemed good. I drove him for about 20 minutes to work. Parked, Got out and checked for leaks and there was none. Once my handheld computer DL'd about 15 minutes I came back out and rechecked for...
