After those huge rain storms rolled through here in central FL last night, one of my pastures has a big pond now. When I woke up I saw it and threw on some boots and went out to take some pics. I alway's loved seeing things in water with the reflection. When I got out there I was suprised to...
Is that normal to release 3 times a second at all times while driving? Is there a regulator or something that could be sticking or is it normal? I guess too much air is better than not enough! I tried to turn the wipers on and do whatever i could to use air but it kept clicking.

Hey guy's, my deuce is having it's period or something. There's an air valve of some sort under the hood right near the top of the firewall and more on the passangers side. It's clicking 3-4 times per second and releasing air and it's driving me absolutely insane, what's the fix? Thanks!

There is also an MVPA meet in Belleiew near me (Ocala). http://www.flmvpa.org/PDF/rallyflyer2007.pdf I'll try and possibly make both depending on work schedules. Aviation doesn't alway's lend lot's of play time. Sounds like alot of fun, especially a trail ride of any sort.

One nice tip is the drain the rear oil pan plug first, it is higher than the front plug. This way there isn't 5.5 gallons of oil all ready to come out of the front plug. Draining the rear plug first drains a bit of weight off the front plug. Then get a new 5 gal bucket and drain the front plug...
Yea that hardtop is definitely repro. Truck needs work but looks like it has alot of character, not many trucks like that left around that are in somewhat good shape.
BTW,anyone know where to pickup some of those screw type clamps that hold the drop sides up? The ones on my bed are rusted and...
I bought 2 of the 4# buckets of grease from NAPA when I just did my front axle. Used one whole bucket alone just on packing the 2 steering knuckles, they take 2# each. You also need grease to pack the wheel bearings, spindle, drive flanges, and wheel hubs.

You won't find a civi part number for the inner oil seals, or any seals for the axles for that matter. Get them for $10 ea. from Ted's Trucks N Stuff in Alabama. Much cheaper than NAPA would sell them if they did.

Here are some pics I got today with a tripod and 10-sec timer. Hard to tell the size of the tank just by driving by it, but it dwarfs the deuce. Merry Christmas

If there is alot of black smoke I'd wander if there is oil leaking into the intake somewhere and/or somehow. I don't know the exact workings on the multifuel but I do know that you can have runaway multifuels iwth turbos if the seals in the turbo are bad and oil leaks into the intake. The truck...
Yea Kenny, not sure if the wheel cylinders are leaking but it's been rolling for a few day's now. I can't tell any differance but I have better piece of mind. When I get the brakes all done and hte pedal firm I'll be really happy.
The extension cords are pretty long and for road use I put my...
Hey guy's. Here's a few pics of my deuce with some Christmas lights on it I've had on since late November. I'm going into town to take some pics next to a lit up tank as well tomorrow evening, so expect those tomorrow.

I got my clean air kit from Sam Winer, great to deal with. Along with that kit you will need the turbo, oil inlet and outlet tubes, turbo style crankcase breather. and the turbo intake elbow that comes off the manifold. I turbo'ed my truck as you are.
I got all Baldwin filters and they fit well...
I removed the spindles today and repacked them with grease. I also honed the wheel cylinders some more today but I'm not happy with them. I need to get the truck rolling asap so I'm going to rebuild them for the time being. There isn't hardly any pitting but there is just enough to make me...
I honed the cylinders with DOT3 as a lube and a 3 stone honer from autozone. I set it on the lowest tension on the end of my cordless drill and ran it up and down for a few seconds. By looking at the picture I may need to do it more but the inside is smooth now and I don't want to take too much...
