Ed,
Well done! Now I'm jealous of your injector tester. Looks better than the one you saw in my basement. Who did you get the injector components from, AMBAC?

Oh, and the cabinet doesn't really offer much security. There is a device (basically a computer driven combination dialer, that will open any of them in a maximum of 24 hours--it just dials every possible combination until it unlocks. THen a small display reads the combination that worked...
Gimpy,
I have done it that way and it works. That is the way I strive for. Have also sold or installed several IP's with their own matching buttons and they have also worked. Still clear as mud. Stay well.

Congrats David!
Someone please disabuse me of this notion......My impression over time is that any IP (with it's proper button, stamped on it) is a "drop in" to replace any other IP. The only time port closing dimensions really come into play is when you are trying to install an IP which has...
David,
Mathews County is God's country to me. No traffic lights in the county, 9500 boats, 8500 people or thereabout. At the end of the power grid though, so long outages are not uncommon.

"adjust back to the pc markings on the flywheel. Don't know how that happened, but had to do that several times. Once I got close on flow tests, I only had to move a tooth or two to make it right."
That is not the correct timing procedure as I know it. Flywheel adjustments are made in one...
The long groove is what you set the 1/8" drill bit butt into through the screw hole in the base. Spurts are small but when in a closed system and under extreme pressure. I don't know how it could fire with glow plug "removed" but you said "disconnected" Don't know what that means. If you got...
If the metal is worth saving, you might try a product called "Ospho" Phosphoric acid to stabilize the steel before priming and painting. Sold in quarts and gallons and sprayed on from any spritzer bottle. About $25 per gallon and I've been using the same gallon for years.

IMO, the gauge at 100% gives you 10KW, which corresponds to pf 0.8 and roughly 52 amps. When you load to 120% on the ammeter you are producing about 62 amps or approximately the output if the unit was pf1.0 rated.
Am I screwed up?

First preheat for 1 minute regardless of outside temp. Once it has started continue holding the start switch in the cranking position for 15-20 seconds. If it dies again, repeat. If repeating these steps doesn't solve the problem, you may have other issues. Ensure main breaker is off for...
Okay, no pcd. I assume your pump works okay. A replacement/spare pump with its own specified timing button should be able to be used without issues.
Jerry
If it has button size, it has PCD. Remove paint around the base of the pump. It is often engraved VERY lightly. Would not show up through paint.
