More pic of John's M923...........
the truck is in excellent condition. He made the ISO bed be able
to dump. He moved the spair tire out of the bed and located it
behind the cab. He also made the sides taller and added a Dump
style front end pannel to cover over the cab.
He added the winch...
Wow......what an OUTSTANDING job the Conn. boys did with the show.
I would post up some pic but most of them have already been posted.
I meet up with a great bunch of guys and spent the hold day just talk'n about
five ton trucks.
The big event of the day for me was when John let me take his...
RE: questions

Good luck and best wishes...........

The ISO bed sounds cooler and cooler all the time.......I do like the mods the Marines
did with it.
A real versatile piece of equipment to have on the back of a 6 x 6.
Thanks guys,
C'dub
Hi M812rc,
Thanks so much for taking the time to share that with us........... :D
I found your post about the ISO bed very interesting and packed
with some great info............
I will use it very wisely.....
Cheers,

Looks like a real professional job.........!!
Just one thing I was thinking was that.........
Are you using a very good AIR DRIER for your air line and

It looks much longer then the standard bed.
Looking through the TM Operator's Manual the ISO bed isn't even covered in there.
Where would I find more info on the ISO bed....??
Cheers,
C'dub
I have also noticed that the rear of the ISO bed is different
then the standard bed.........
This ISO bed seems to over hang much farther
then the standard bed and the body end pannel
on the ISO bed has some sort of cut out in the
middle with holes in it.
What would be the reason for that and...
RE: Carlisle All-Truck Nationals, Carlisle PA August 3-5, 20
Hi,
is this going to be a show or a combo with a swap meet and car coral.......??
Thanks,
C'dub
Hey Guys,
by looking at the pic I can see the bumpers had
the paper clips that someone cut off. I've learned
that the Marines used them for wider lift points so
the truck doesn't flip over during hoisting. Also in
the pic the bed has split cargo sides...
Why would some of the Cargo M939's have...
Hey Guys,
Instead of driving everyone nuts in all the different threads
with all the questions I may have for the M939's. I thought
starting a separate thread would be a better idea.
Just a few general question that would aid me in learning
about a truck before I lay down some $$$.
During...
