Get the NSN for the keys and brake band from the manual on the TM section. And the seals too, unless you already have them. White Owl or Memphis will stock them. Try WO first, as they are somewhat cheaper. Good luck. The assembly will be a breeze after going through the teardown!
Aren't they fun to rebuild? aua I feel your pain brother! Add some rust to the mix and the goods times really roll!
You are doing it right though. Might not seem like you're making any progress, but keep at it, it will get finished. When you're done you will have a new winch that will be safe...
I think you might be ok with clearance. I believe the tire sets farther in front of the box than the brake handles do. Let me know if you need any measurements.
OMG! Serious?!?!? I KNOW I didn't pay over $150 with the shipping for a new one. It was last year. Maybe he quoted me the wrong price? I can't believe they would more than double in a years time. Guess I'm glad I got it when I did.
If you can't find anyone to swap shafts Ted, talk to George at White Owl. They have NOS 800 series shafts that include the ujoints and connections for around $125.
Your truck looks great.
B-b-b-b-but, but, but.... you said I could have it....
LOL! It's all yours Mike. I'll let you know how well they work after I try mine out. Thanks for putting the manual up Kenny. It says other fuels are acceptable but they may not work as well. I think I might try the boy scout fluid...
Nick, here's the same m37 tire mount that swbradley used, but it is mounted on the front of the trailer instead of the side. One can still tilt the trailer if needed. Sorry no closeups of the mount.
Great job 2Deuceswild on the 105 spare mount!! That is a super idea.
Thanks Kenny! LOL How about if you send the TM up and I'll grab the heater next time I get down to your place! It would save on shipping that way. ;-)
I'm surprised we don't have it in our TM section.
TM 5-4540-202-12 and 'P' for the water immersion heater. I'm not seeing it in the resources section. Anyone have this on file? Would like to review the manual before playing with gasoline. Anyone ever use coleman fuel/white gas in their heater? Would be a bit safer than gasoline I think. Thanks.
I agree with you clinto. As someone who has done a number of rotisserie restorations myself years back, it's very hard to grasp the amount of labor and $$ that goes into a complete restoration done right unless you've been through it yourself. And when completed, you certainly do worry about...
Hey guys, anyone got an extra cx-13089 cable they could part with? I'm combining my rt524 with my vic-1 system and would like to pull it's power from the mx-7777 supressor instead of having 2 seperate power cords hooked to the batts. and also to protect the 524. Please let me know. Thanks!
Congrats on your truck phil. Too bad you couldn't stay in the cool north for a couple days to unwind before the trip back home. Could have hooked you up with a trip onto the big lake for kings, or maybe for musky on the Clair.
