Like poppop said, there should be clips on the outside and straps on the inside of the cover for holding up the sides. Rolling the sides up inward will definitly keep water from collecting. There should also be some straps for keeping the top to the bows when the sides are rolled up.

All coatings are not created equal. Some will work, some will not.

Did you put the primer on bare metal or over top of existing paint? Sounds like the plasti-kote is reacting to the old paint.

Do a search for an M820 that Sarge repainted. He did a fantastic job and gives step by step instructions on how to get the right look with 3 color camo. Lots of pictures too!

Looks good! Well, except for the tranny. Mine had the GL trademark too. It cost $200 for a new driveshaft, retubed, balanced, with new spicers.
