Also, drill a large circular hole in the right-side body panel right behind the fender to mount the below items including a slave cable adapter (you don't even need to hook it up electrically), you'll fool a LOT of military vehicle enthusiasts as well! Not to mention top bows, machinegun...
I misunderstood the title of the thread, "1400 tires on a deuce." I'm thinking to myself, it would be great to start a tire business with, but carrying 1400 tires in the bed of a deuce might be a little too much, both for the deuce's suspension, and the local police officer's patience.
I know what I would want to do. Rather than that, instead do this:
Get the photographic proof from the convenience store. Get the witness. Get the cops, by all means. Also, if it turns out it was the son using his dad's equipment, you can get the dad to side with you by threatening legal...
Saw the emergence of the HMMWV issue M1101/1102 trailers that are starting to come out now. Would you think that a CUCV M1009 would have the means to tow one around? Now loaded up to the max, mind you, but perhaps as a towed camping trailer or with a light load?
I might be able to attend, depends on if I have work to do that weekend and I won't know that until time gets closer. Also, unless I win the lotto between now and then, civvy vehicle only.
Two things...

Second, I just applied to FCC for a...
You will find the M416 series of trailers to be so useful you won't be able to live without one ever again. Wish 1/4-ton trailers were still an item you can find on GL, but those days are long gone.
Good save!
Yes, it is common. It comes from having the truck parked out in the rain for a LONG time without a can covering the exhaust stack to keep water out, over time the J-pipe rust out. It can be repaired by a muffler shop, or you will have to find a replacement J-pipe.
Looks like you're making progress, kassim! Good save, and it already looks 100% better since you sprayed it with OD green. Hope to see that as your tow vehicle for the RC rally!
Uh, wow. I just hope the trailer brakes are feeling their oats when you have to haul a 5-ton. Just...don't try hauling any 5-ton wreckers, please? I don't want to read about you in the paper.
My advice, the stock engine is pretty good, if it's running condition I'd keep it for originality's sake. If the stock engine is blown or missing, common replacements include the 350 Chevy, the 318 Dodge, or the 4BT/6BT Cummins diesel. I'd go with the latter myself, but all are decent...
It would be nice to see tooling around at the big show, hopefully you'll have a little more done on it that I was able to get done. Glad you were able to save her....
