Took off the tarp and dusted her off today. Did some more POR15 painting around the axles, charged up the battery and let her run for awhile
Also called up vintage power wagons and order new fuel pick up and gasket, and got the fuel tank re-sealer kit from the local parts store.
Good to be...
Great weather to do this type of work! I REALLY should pick up some parts so I can get back to it on my M-37!
Cool door logo, Vermont State Forest and Parks...pretty rare to see!
What're you doing with the superlugs? I've been looking for a couple...
This afternoon I'm meeting with a gentleman who wants to buy a couple parts off of me...hopefully it'll go through, and I'll be able to purchase the new fuel sending unit and filler neck hose so I can FINALLY get this thing driving around the neighborhood!
I wish I had some progress to report...however spring is beginning to come way early here in the northeast, so hopefully that means more progress!
Next up has to be reconditioning the fuel tank, and a new sending unit. Then I can run this thing around the yard.
Haven't started it since early...
Hey man that's in nice shape! Congrats on the new purchase
As we've discussed on here many times before, the hardtop is for a CCKW, the military had a kit to modify it to fit the M-37...mine has the same hardtop for now
Thanks for the info! My filler neck hose is in worse condition than yours was believe it or not, haven't dared to put gas in it yet!
Good to know NAPA has the right stuff
Googled TT-11 Aircraft tug, got this page. I thought it was interesting!
Apparently your uncle was correct. Keep the photos coming!

This of course is a no-brain-er for you guys...but I just wanted to add in;
My M-37's original engine had a water pump replacement, and the person who did the replacement used bolts only a few threads too long, and it cracked the blocked and wrecked the piston
I'm sorry if this is an ignorant question...but what would the rear cab doors be for? I'm assuming a bench seat for the pilots of the aircraft being towed?
The suicide doors are really cool...the shape of the cab almost looks like a civilian power wagon cab as well!
Hey looks great! Wish you were up here in Mass, I got my BS Degree in Forestry, and I've been disparately searching for work I'd hit you up!
Plus I've got a ton of deuce experience! haha oh well
Got my hood back today and installed, came out great!
Hopefully the snow we have forecast for this evening won't be the end of the work for the season! Finished painting the frame with POR 15 yesterday...my next step is to recondition the gas tank and install it
Yup! Thats the valve. The manual talked about opening that valve when using a power bleeder, so I figured what the ****, might as well try it, and it worked!
Did you open the vent line on the top of the MC when you were bleeding? I was having the same thing as you are having happen until I did that...bleed like a dream, then closed it afterwards.
I was given advice on here a couple years ago not to re-build; I'm sure once would be fine, but hone...
