Haspin has always been a part exchange, and usually people bring things to sell. It's just a word of mouth(or internet) thing. There has been talk in the past of having vendors.

I watched that auction, and sent the question telling him it was a LDS motor.. Was shocked that it did not hit a reserve at over 5 grand. Piece of junk, maybe a 2500 dollar truck if cleaned up and running good.
You should never let a sprag equipped deuce roll backwards while it is in a forward gear, or roll forwards in reverse gear. Tends to break things on hard pavement. Other than that, sounds like it needs adjusted, search sprag adjustment and should be some info.
Sounds like westy will be bringing enouhg people for his own rally. When did you get a 5 ton?
I will be running across 70. Thrusday or wensday. Bringing M108, trailer, pickup, and camper.

M108's(deuce crane) have 2 feet shorter reach, and 2,000lbs less lift. But they are much shorter trucks, and easier to maneuver in tight areas. I've picked up 12,000lbs before with the M108, but it was right on the rear bumper, and the front of the truck was barely on the ground. 5 ton's also...
Yes, but have to keep the chains short for overhead room. You want the chains as long as possible, but still have enough height to lift the box off. The more angle on the chains/straps, the more strain they are under. Or use a heavy duty spreader bar.
Here is the shelter video. It's a M62...
It's hard to say for sure where the pieces came from. I'd pull the top of the transmission off and look inside. You can even pull the driveshaft to the transfer, then the rear bearing retainer and the mainshaft can be removed for more room.

I know kenny had a good thread up on swapping to a multifuel. I did it also, don't remember how much detail I went into, but search for a thread called "extensive M108 repairs"
