That is very easy to argue with. Ford trucks have never outsold GM trucks. They sell more fords than chevy, or more fords than GMC, but not more than chevy and GMC. I like the pre-1980 fords, and 1988 and up chevys.

Brake drums and hubs are 2-piece, but usually come off as one. You might be able to just pull the drum, but no way to hold the bolts from turning on the inside of the drum.

Without side boards, a full load of gravel is 7-8 tons. That is overloaded, and all I will put on the truck. Truck is rated for 5 tons on road.

Couple of warnings. You may have already read in other threads. Do not rotate the engine with the heads off. The piston sleeves can pop out of the block, and piston can fall out of them. I strapped a piece of wood over top of them so I could rotate the engine and clean the cylinder...

The end of the screw has an allen head inside it, like a set screw. Then you can turn the outside nut by using an allen on the screw. I use a thin set wrenches made for die grinders to adjust. Dennis

I'm guessing you are trying to remove the needle bearing? Think what he is saying is use the chisel to cut the needle bearing to remove it.

Don't know if they are the same, but the autolite's for the ford 6.9 will burn up at 10 sec. I read a review my dad printed off for his truck, the the autolite plugs were the worst ones, they would burn up fast and distort, making them hard to remove. He bought some from michgian that were...

Sounds like you got a good deal. I have seen dropside beds for sale around 500.00 before.

Check the oil cooler, I've heard of them leaking oil in the antifreeze. A search should have something on it.

I've driven Gimpyrobb's deuce with 395's, for 100's of miles, and did not notice any wander. Just a softer ride, and leans in the corners.
