36" wide X 18 1/4" tall is the stock hole. Mine has enough room that it could be up to 6" deep for more passes if that is what it took to keep her cool.
I will be at the shop next week, I can get a couple of pics.
it is far from done right now, just the dummy block is in place to fab the mounts before I put in the long block. then the plumbing begins. I only work on it a couple of times a month so it doesn't come along as fast as many of...
I like the 353, it is a great reliable engine.
I also like the small block, it offers some different features, some of them are advantages, some are not.
I like the avaliability of the small block.
I like the many aftermarket parts options.
I like the increase in the rpm range.
I like the...
I already have the block and bellhousing bolted up to the trans, I have the motor mounts mocked up and will work on the end product after it proves out.
OK, so maybe just to get to where you are going, you know, the easy stuff, then unhook it to roam around. (wheels still spinning in head)
I will keep thinking about this and work up the prototype to see how long the tongue would have to be.
Wow! never thought of that. (wheels in head spinning) could add tongue to another carrier, making it a trailer. would be more space between the trailer carrier and the regular carrier, maybe not too noticable given that the width and general shape would be the same and the tires...
I say do what you want with it, I like the motivation and dedication to making something that you want. I like that you are doing it with your son.
if some of the group wants to get super critical, then I may say "you can't improve that vehicle that you have by putting a heater in it, or...
yes, mounts are homemade. the goat is at my shop, I won't be there to take pics for another week.
One of the problems with the cooling is that the radiator has to push out the back and there is not a bunch of airflow.
I agree about the larger more efficient radiator will work better and I...
I am doing one right now. I have a dummy block bolted up with the mounts done and am fabbing the cooling and the wiring. The bellhousing bolted right up. from feedback that I have recieved I am looking for the largest radiator that will fit into the stock location due to the extra heat generated...
there is one of these up the street, Any ideas what it is worth? I want to tow it behind the Gama Goat. I like the 8 wheel look. will it be too heavy or look too big? is there a better trailer option for the Goat?
Thanks!!
Someone with the Comm Box might be very interensted in this!! they could park the vehicle and run the cable up to the top of the hill for better propagation. higher is almost always better.

Thanks Bill, the back of it is full of stuff and I am going to sort it all before I start looking for the missing parts. One thing that looks like it is missing is the front trans mount, someone has made one from scratch, don't know why, I will look into it and see if the original one is in...
My Uncle got one of those, found it in a field with a tree growing through it. Dragged it home and it sat for another 2 years. it took 2 day for us to get the motor going, ended up figuring out that the spark plug wired had been crossed at some point, probably why it was parked. It was in...
Hello all! I just got a Goat and am starting to put it back together.
I am starting to go through old posts and threads and I want to find sources for various wierd parts, most of them specific to the Goat.
I am asking for those that have much more experience in this to let me know some of...
