Picked that one up for $340 + fees. It had 318hrs on it, all the others had 1 or 2 hours and when I seen the 3 in 318 I just figured it as 3hrs like the rest. It looks to be in good shape. It's the first things I've bought like this, pulled it off the truck and was going to see if I could get...
Found my oil leak, its coming out the top of the power steering pump, it's wet and the fan must be pushing it to the back of that part of the engine compartment. Checked the air filter, brand new with a message:lol: and the oil is new too.
Ya, I've run trucks all my life, I had belts, filters, I think I had everything for a repair, and not even a fuel line or filter plug. Time with my boys and no break downs, what a great day.
Just wanted to share some pics of my first 5ton I bought on GL at Ft. McCoy. Took our two oldest boys with yesterday and picked it up. Drove it 350 miles home and ran like a top. The paint is pealing and ugly, but once we get it cleaned up it's going to be a gem. Opened the hood this morning...
Yep, $52,000. We drove right past it, it was cherry. I don't know if that price was a good deal or not, but I don't think you would find any nicer just by looking at it.
I hired Jeff to look over a M813 I had bought at McCoy, check fluids, lights, and just give it a once over to make sure there was nothing major wrong with it before I drove 6 hours to pick it up. He did a great job, and I highly recommend him if anyone need help with the auction items there...
:-) Were pretty isolated up here ya know. rofl Thanks for the info, I'll have to get some of that. Was thinking about using some baler twine, but that isn't green.
I've had this happen, it's a bummer when it does, but they charge by the weight and these things happen. I'd call them and explain what happened, you might be surprised that they'll work with you.
550 cord??? You'll have to help me with that one. I'll be using it on my M1009, and it has the mount right behind the passenger door. I can see where that antenna would be more pron to break than a stainless whip. But it sure fits the truck. I ordered another to put on my A3.
Got my antenna from Saturn Surplus today. All new in the box delivered for $76.55. He has some used bases for $18 cheaper. The AB15 base new was $38.50 and the antenna sections were $6.50 each. First time I've bought from them, worked out great.
I have one here and it's all one unit, fluid is in a tank incorporated into the frame, pump and all are one unit. It's a neat set up all in one. Just have to hook up the shaft to the pto. I have one and my tractor can't lift it but want's to try. So I'm guessing its pushing 3000lbs.
I've mixed and matched oils with diesel, and so far no problems, but have heard of others who have. I do have heaters on my injector lines, suppose to help, not sure if it is, but the engine seems to like it.
