Installed a pyro, got a surprise!

EGT and Boost monitoring will be a worthy upgrade... may as well do it right. I've gone this far, why not.

Installed a pyro, got a surprise!

So, a post turbo, clamp on, probe.... just for a warm fuzzy on EGT range, would still be better than NO gauge at all..? I'm usually running empty, and just want to see that i'm not cooking my internals. i read about with the dual (pre and post) temp test that said they were almost identical. I...

    Which torque multiplier ?

I used the 1:78 multiplier, and it worked great, but with my MRAP wheels, its too big to fit between the lugs (but it was great for putting on the MRAP adapters).

    Deuce load?

I took the wife to get some sand for our back yard, ended up getting 5 yards, the loader driver made them BIG scoops.... I found out when we got home (10 miles), that we were hauling about 17,550 of compacted wet sand.... I wondered why it was taking more to stop and slow on the get go... (on...

I tried to get the plug out of an old engine, but it stripped out the allen head before it would come out, i'm sure it had the good loctite on it... I heated and beat on it and had no luck.... Maybe my elbow will fit.... i'm just lucky to have 2.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I got my hubs flipped, my wheel bearings lubed, brakes checked, got my 395s on MRAP wheels on, drove it around the block (90 psi, like rocks). Aired the fronts down to 50 and rears down to 30, took it for a drive, PERFECT.... I took her up a nice local highway hill, at a steady 52 mph...

    D Turbo With Muffler?

Can you ever hear the D turbo with a muffler? These older post are saying the Walker model numbers have changed, what is the current model number ?(please). I have what looks like 10 ton (?) bridge truck mirrors, no forward mount, not real stable, but WIDE.. hopefully I can fit a muffler....

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I finally got to prep and paint my MRAP adapters and got half of them put on before it got too hot. Picked up a couple 6 ton jack stands, my 3" bearing socket and a big bearing packer and a better needle grease tip. I forgot to get differential fluid, but I can still flip my hubs and do the...

Who makes a bearing packer big enough to handle M35A2 wheel bearings?

It looks like the HF packer is no longer available. I'm ok with doing them by hand, I'd just like to know i'm getting some in there and don't want to do the zip lock trick yet... Anyone know of a cheap packer, big enough to work?

WOW, it does look AWESOME.... I've got a couple of spots of body work, but overall great shape, i'm going for "mechanically dependable" first. But its getting there. I plan to make one of the DFW area meet ups soon...

Can MRAP wheels be mounted "deep dish" style without flipping hubs?

Exactly.. if only the valve stem could be unscrewed and replaced with a shorter one....

Can MRAP wheels be mounted "deep dish" style without flipping hubs?

Thanks DR and CJ, I just got notified my 128lb fed ex package will be here in a couple of days, and the local shipping terminal is whining about delivering my 3K+lb pallets of MRAP wheels/tires... I guess i'll go ahead and flip the hubs.... or mow my yard...

Can MRAP wheels be mounted "deep dish" style without flipping hubs?

I'd really hate to drill and tap a new stem. It just seems like there should be a much easier way. I know the wheel would have to be separated and the runflat pushed off to one side to get a tool on the inside of the stem base. But so far, flipping the hubs actually seems easier.... Also...
