The Military is starting to scare me...

I had a frozen battery blow on me. When I got to the ER, the doc looked at the acid burns on my face and put a pH test strip in my eyes. His observation....you have a very low pH in your eyes. No chit Sherlock. Even with eyeglasses on, still got acid in the eyes. They found chunks...

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

^ Mine too, although my CTIS takes about 7-8 miles to get them to 44PSI. For my long highway run home on my recovery, I also set my tires pressure to 50. Since they bleed down a bit sitting, now the CTIS sets them to 44. If I had unlimited funds, I would send a CTIS head unit back and have...

M1009, what else to look for

I don't LIKE the color. I'd like it to go back to camo, but I want to get the mechanical particulars worked out first. The issue is, with the 1009, you can be a quasi-mv, but be in stealth mode. If you go back to camo...... I get looks from my neighbors and people already. It's got an awful...

    Throttle return spring broke!

I was out with the kids giving the old girl a run today... When I came to a stop light and went to stop, the throttle stuck wide open. Made for kind of a hairy stop, but neutral and sticking my foot under the pedal saved the motor from running against the redline. I nursed it to the side of...

Spicer 5 Speed in an A3

I'm sure I am missing something, but is the 4th gear in the MT643 a 1:1 AND the 5th gear in the MD6030 also a 1:1? If so, how does that improve the 1:1 in the transmission that come stock and has a final gear of 1:1?

Spicer 5 Speed in an A3

I see the military's conundrum now when they did the ESP program.....

Compatible transmissions for the M35a3 with the cat 3116

even with the spicer gears, if you keep stock tires, 60MPH is going to be near redline anyways

Has anyone done an Allison 2500? I'd LOVE 2 more gears, and to keep the auto so my wife could drive it!
